Will be interesting to see where it settles critically. IMDB currently has:

TPM<AotC<RotS<TFA<RotJ<ANH<ESB

I guess the smart money would settle it between RotS and TFA, but obviously a much bigger chance it's lower than higher.

I would have pegged it as possibly higher than TFA. If it has any originality at all, it will compare well to TFA.

Forbes is nothing but clickbait these days. I'm sure it will have no trouble getting close to a billion worldwide.

My model has been rather bearish on the film's prospects in recent days. The current prediction is down to 711.5 million. Not completely sure what is driving this trend, possibly uncertainty about the election or the prospect of a La Nina.

I'm sure that gas pipeline leak in Alabama has something to do with it. I predict it'll be back up over 1 billion in a few days.

Heard that review was a mess and that he's a clown about diversity. Happy I never wasted my time with any of his videos.

I was pretty optimistic about Force Awakens, and definitely liked it (in spite of it lacking much originality and being very close to a reboot).

This one, eh. It's Star Wars so I'll definitely see it in the theaters and all, and I love the concept of spinoff SW movies as something to check out in between the main series films. But I'm very over the whole Vader timeline and prequel thing overall. Don't care about the Death Star, I've seen two of them blow up and a planet thing that was basically a super-Death Star itself.

If it's written well it could still be a good movie, and aside from Vader it looks like mostly new characters which is good. And it's more appealing than the Young Han Solo movie which nobody really needs.

Pretty much a huge plus one to all of this.

The premise of this movie really is outstanding.

Doubling down on the Katniss fad is a mega disappointment though.

No problem with female characters, but they should be real characters, not this new cardboard cutout cliche.

I agree. The problem isn't female characters, it's that Hollywood has been rewriting the same female character and plugging her into different movies.

However it turns out when we actually see the movie, I'm at least confident that Felicity Jones can act. She was really good in the last couple of movies I saw.

I didn't get through his entire new review video but yes, it is a bit of mess. His other reviews of the prequels are really fantastic though.

His prequel reviews are amazing, don't let his latest review put you off his other work. He didn't even begin talking about TFA until halfway through that vid, which is odd.
