Anything's possible, but it doesn't seem likely. I'm in the camp that didn't see the need for the prequels in first place. I just accepted that the force worked, that Obi-Wan & Yoda were old war heroes, and that Darth Vader was once a good guy. It told the story while leaving some things for you to wonder about.
Now, thanks to the prequels, I know that the force actually comes from midichlorians in your cells. I also know General Kenobi rocked a mullet and that Yoda looks like a frog when he fights. Vader was apparently a good guy at 9 years old, I guess, but that didn't last too long. And I really liked how the prequels maintained the cool factor and mystery to one of the best bit characters in the series, Boba Fett.
No doubt a complete reworking would result in much better films, but not sure what purpose it would serve. The energy you spend remaking those could be put to making new ones instead.
