Browsing this thread and the one in OOTV and it made me recall this wonderful short from almost 25 years ago. Really worth a watch for all you SW fans who made not have seen it by now. Probably better writing than anything else in SW recently.

Highly doubt Disney would ever do a series like this, but if they did, I'd watch it.

I kinda wanted Qui-Gon's ghost to show up at the end, pull open his robe to show the saber wound, and just say "what the ****, people".

Its almost like there is a huge market of people who saw the OG film as kids in 77 and as adults would love a SW film aimed at adults, but which was nakedly exploitative of nostalgia.

Also some of these adults spend huge sums on merchandise, nerds with jobs etc.

Just sayin Disney, one time.

Glad this is still getting some love. Minorest brush with fame...I went to HS with the guy that made this

ETA:
I very much dislike how the mouse continues to force writers to shoehorn new material into a framework that has a fixed beginning and a fixed end. With that said, I thought the Obi-Wan/Vader interaction was entertaining, if nonsensical. The last fight was way too dark (in the literal sense, not the literary sense).

I did not like the Obi-Wan/Leia interaction based on their relationship (or lack thereof) in Ep 4. Like some bizarro Force mind-wipe to make her forget the trauma or something would have been dumb but would at least serve to explain how she was not at least as moved as Luke was after Obi-Wan sacrificing himself.

This whole "you should have killed me when you had the chance" thing should become a meme

For people who liked the Obi Wan-Vader duel, did you watch Rebels? The half-mask thing was directly ripped off from there, and it was done better the first time.

I also thought Obi Wan suddenly becoming ultra strong in the force, to the point of going Vader mode and lifting 50 boulders at the same time and throwing them at Vader??? Was really stupid.

Hate to say it because the actress is getting a lot of undeserved (racist) hate, but the whole Reva thing just did not work and the show needed a LOT less Leia.

Honestly thought it was all really bad. And for context, I liked Mando and BoBF.

The whole think reeked of what would have been a very decent 2 hour movie, that was turned into a series for commercial reasons.

Reva and Leia clearly additions to the original script to flesh the time out.

It was dumb but it looked cool. I put my time into watching it so will take what I will from it.

Also is not rebels a cartoon? I doubt it looked as cool in a cartoon.

Its one of those shows/films/content where as the ephemera of the CGI set piece wears off, you realise more and more how terrible it was.

The really cynical fans (and even I'm not that bad) say that Obi-Wan being able to do that is just Disney's attempt to prove that it wasn't stupid that Rey was able to do the same thing in TLJ or whatever. And also things like his having this big adventure with Leia was put in to explain why the hell she would eventually name her kid Ben.
