Reasonable.

Jedi just was totally silly for like half the movie. Not good. The ending was great, and actually benefitted from 1-3 getting made, as the end was even more satisfying due to the backstory we now knew. But that doesn't make everything Endor any less horrific.

Personally I think 3 > 4, but I think 4 > 3 is reasonable if for no other reason than Anakin's horrible lines/acting. But it's not like Luke's lines/acting were some sort of tour de force.

2 really isn't that bad btw. Other than the really brutal brutal horrible love scene wooden lines for Anakin and the one scene that was like a video game on the assembly line, it was solid. Good backstory, great action scenes, Yoda kicking butt, clones and Jango, all good stuff.

5 > 4 >> 6 > 3 > 2 >> 1

I think 2 is underrated (for basically the reasons Clark just laid out) and 3 is overrated. I think they're actually pretty close. Also, some of the fan edits out there definitely improve on 1-3.

Also, its close, but I think X-Wing Alliance was the best Star Wars game. Tie Fighter, Knights of the Old Republic and really any of the Jedi Knight series are the runners up.

Rankings are correct. Tie Fighter blows away X-W Alliance, though. KOTOR definitely very solid.

That order looks about right but I'd add many more >>> between 5 and 4. Not a knock against 4 but Empire is just such a great movie and it really stands out from the rest of the series for me.

Is this referring to a 58 year old Carrie Fisher?

The years haven't been kind but she was pretty damn cute in her prime...

Yeah, I only really like the beginning and ending of 6, everything else is just meh.

I love everything about episode 3: Anakin's transformation into Vader, the music, order 66, Obi Wan vs Anakin etc. I feel like they should have made another episode between 3 and 4, it's just too big of a jump in time.

Wow, I lived thru that, and had no idea she looked that good. The force was not with her. But this is the way of the world, do not be surprised.

Disney has money, but has a very big incentive to cater to the younger crowd who will attend the movies and buy all the related stuff. Yoda might dislike the idea that profit is the primary thing, but he has yet to explain why he ran from the emperor when it was pretty much a stalemate.

I am just old enough to have watched Empire Strikes back when I was a kid. My fav SW movie

You liked that his transformation was basically "man i really don't want Natalie Portman and my unborn child to die so I should probably kill all these kids"?

I was going to come in and try and defend episode 1, referencing the darth maul fight scene at the end which was awesome...

But then I just re watched it on YouTube, it's ok, but still a bit meh. Best bit of the movie by far, but it Certainly doesn't make up for jaja binks and the crazy blue blob battle scene... Carry on with the hating.

Just two random detectives 1,000 years ago on Alderaan with very mild Star Warsian elements.
Episode 7 will get $14 out of me, or whatever a movie ticket costs these days.

But this, this could run basically forever.

III had some really dark themes, awesome dueling scenes, and tbh that scene where all the jedi are being struck down by order 66 still gets me.

Even the corny as **** "NOOOOOOOOOOO" at the end I like.
WTF the way Anakin turns to the dark side is lame as ****. He is a Sith Lord, get him, oh yea dark side, Ill kill all the kids. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Any ranking that doesn't go 5>4>6>what prequels? Is just wrong. Those movies were terrible. Go watch red letter media reviews for further explanation.

I just realized I've never seen the third episode (or all of two) until seeing people here rate it highly. Coming from being such a huge SW nerd in the late eighties and early nineties, the first episode seemed to be almost fine tuned to kill any interest in the franchise for anyone over the age of ten, and the second episode was one of the two times I ever walked out of a movie theater during a showing. I don't expect JJ Lens Flare Abrams and an unlimited Disney budget for over the top CGI will do anything to make me care less, but it was a lot more fun to just blame everything on Lucas
