we credit primin bros

I just found A Upromise card offered by Sallie Mae - up to 12% cash back at restaraunts, yes please. looked at qualifying places, while there are many not on there, it is a respectable list and i saw some places i frequent.

Catch here is, and i didnt look into it a ton, but the savings u earn are supposed to front an education. So, im not sure if u can get the savings without using it toward education, again have not read fine print to much

Perhaps this will be the first step for my 8 month old daughter, i spend, she earns

now ur lost......

I have this card, and I am able to get up $1000 cash one time per year, sent to me as a check. It's kind of a dumb card for me to have, as I don't really use it for the cashback bonuses that they offer. I applied for a Barclay's travel rewards card, and was rejected because I already have sufficient credit with Barclay's (that's who is behind the UPromise card). 795 credit rating with the agency they pulled.

So I found out I can use my credit card to pay for tuition with no fees. Uh yes please. Kind of wish I had better than 1% but o well.

edit: ugh nevermind, my only CC is visa, they accepted american express, discover and mastercard. Would have been a nice 150 back.

we credit priming bros, where yall at?? everyone sleeping??

Does this card make me baller status, i feel like it. i kid though. but it sounds sick, the GM Card. No annual fee, 5% earnings on everything on 1st 5k in purchases. meh, that roof is what i did not see at first, that would equate to $250 though, still not bad. Then 2% on everything after the first 5k. so still not a bad card. knock out the $250 rebate each year. I will use the card on purchases that do not qualify for bonuses among my other cards. so that 5% is always nice backup at non qualifying purchases on other CC's and the 2% after is nice backup to, when i have non qualifying purchases related to other cc's. no fees. ehhhh

furthermore, opportunities are out there yall. In the last 6 weeks I have earned ~$750 in signup bonuses. It's the easiest free money ever. Why write a check when u can use a cc? got an offer in the mail today for a checking account, $250 sign up bonus; that gave me a hard on. ~75 minutes of my time for ~250 before taxes.

anyone else active? I would still like to hear from those of u out there that are manufacture spending. Using reloadable cards/ debits/ using cc's for bill pay, etc.

i just applied for three credit cards, pre approved. well. the one, carlson visa, i had two offers for same card and didnt realize it. I input my outdated offer survey code and it was invalid, so i applied for that one but not through the pre approval. later to find the updated offer. So, i will get approved. Just picked up 20k in credit with the GM card i mentioned and chase sapphire preferred. I will be getting $450 for spending 2k on that card. i was just readin this:http://millionmilesecrets.com/2011/0...-bonus-points/ and it explains how to make that $450 stretch into something like $2500 in hotel stays LMAO. SCHWING, gonna eat a baguette in paris at a 5 star. i will come brag if that happens. Anyway, that was fun, 3 more plastics heading my way, free hotels and stuff or whatevs.

BoA Travel rewards card has the chip thing and no foreign trans fees, 1.5% on all purchases, usually can find a good sign on bonus

i just signed up for the above card. It has 2% on grocery stores and 35 on gas. as far as i know, all other purchases are 1%.

perhaps we are talking about different cards, i am talking of the BoA Cash Rewards Visa Signature, so perhaps we are talking different cards.

but elaborating on my card, the above holds true, and I also noticed WalMart qualified as a grocer for 2% and I also bought a few items at Sees candy(like a chocolatier store) and it qualified for 2% as well. kind of cool, i wouldnt have expected either of those to qualify as a grocer.

Also, if you have a BoA savings account or checking account, if you redeem cashback to those accounts, you get a 10% bonus

while on that topic, i recently discovered for Chase Freedom, you get 10% bonus if u have an active Chase checking account. So i will most likely be opening one of those soon

This sounded like an amazing card until I realized you can only redeem your points for purchasing a GM vehicle.

ya, failed hard on this one. i have been reading fine prints and cant believe i overlooked this. didnt read disclosures/earnings information on this one. sigh

lol yeah that's a fail. I remember hearing about that card a long time ago but I had to do some digging to confirm I remembered it right. They're kind of misleading about it. I don't think I'd use that card even if I knew I wanted to purchase a GM vehicle in 3-4 years. The time value of waiting that long to redeem rewards brings the value down. I have one card that doesn't give full 1% cash back on points unless you redeem 20k+ and that's annoying enough waiting around 6 months-1 year to build it up.

This.

I've slowed down my MS currently because CVS has changed their CC policy (No Vanilla Reloads any more) for most cards and I hate going to Walmart to get MOs with other cards.

I'm sure I'll kick it back up a notch with my next AOR, but I don't know when I plan to do that.

Didn't know if the discount on a vehicle could be transferred to a family member, etc. I would assume not.

So, what's a good card to sign up for in the next few weeks, in terms of a reward portfolio and a higher limit balance?

Your limit is mostly going to be determined by your income and credit score. It depends what rewards you are looking for and where you spend your money. I personally have a variety of hotel cards, airline cards, and cashback cards that I use to maximize 5%+ categories, as well as receive signup bonuses for them. You also receive upgraded status with some of them. It really depends on what you want the rewards for. Give us a few more details about where you spend your money, why you might need a higher limit, and what you want in a rewards program, and we can suggest some different cards for you.

Well, this mostly came about because I had 2 primary cards; one low limit (about 2.5K) with a 7.25% interest rate that I use to pay for *everything* on and a second one with a 15K limit and a much higher interest rate. The second card is going away due to divorce terms and conditions, and I need something to replace it as my large purchase/emergency card and to offset the coming 'drop in available credit'.

I'm not opposed to getting another card for day to day purchases, as I put almost everything on a credit card and pay it off twice a month. Since I'm not earning cash back or points as it is, it might make more logical sense to switch and get rewards. I don't travel much, but I put gas, groceries, auto-bill pay, eating out, theater, etc all on one card. I don't use cash unless it's a small store or it's a large purchase I can get a good discount on by showing up with cash in hand.

My credit score is very very high. Well over excellent and just shy of the 'let me get you anything' range. Just went though a refinance, and it was nice to have the bank pay large chunks of the cost, based on that alone.

I know I'm not using credit in a way to max rewards and cash back, so I though I would ask the people who seem to have it figured out!

Hopefully you have some savings or an emergency fund, so you should never have to carry a balance. This should make the APR a non-issue here. If those 2 CCs you have right now do not have an annual fee, you should keep them up open, regardless of what you decide to do in the future. This will keep your average age of accounts up. With great credit, good income, and no negative marks on your credit history, you can pretty much get any card you want.

A few of my favorite cards to check out and see what benefits/rewards you like are

Chase Freedom
Discover IT
Barclayscard Arrival World
Chase Sapphire Preferred
Starwoods Preferred Guest
CapitalOne Venture Rewards

I think I posted here a while back seeking some advice about deleting some negative accounts and marks on my credit report. For some reason I got knocked down on here and was able to figure out a way to remove judgements and old bad credit issues from my report including a tax lien and.delinquent lines from when I was younger. This is solid advice and I wouldn't be here right now posting of I didn't think this was of value. After a lot of not listening to people I decided to give Lexington law a chance. My credit exactly a year ago was close to 540. Its today over 720. I've been paying Lexington law 100/month and they are 100 percent responsible for raising my credit score close to 200 points in the last year or so.

They are very organized at what they do and I'm sure if someone had enough time and patience they could probably get the same results by yourself. But if you are like me, a professional, someone that puts in 60+ hrs a week at work and would rather let someone that knows what they are doing 100/month is a small price to pay to fix your credit.

I can now purchase real estate under my own name, I lease a luxury car under my own name and I don't have to ever worry about being rejected for credit.

Ive also learned a lot about the whole.process and if you have any questions id be glad to help. To all those haters f off.

I also had a low score, I went to the annualcreditreport site, disputed the negative items, a couple of other things were old and dropped off. Raised my score to over 700 and cost me nothing but about 10 minutes.

so, i opened the GM card, i do not care to buy a GM vehicle in the future. as stated, i could earn 5% on purchases up to $250 a year only, and after that unlimited 2% but it has to be used toward the purchase of a GM vehicle( i thought there were other rewards, that's why i opened this account). while i am not ruling out the purchase of a GM vehicle in the future, i certainly am not restricting myself toward only a GM vehicle. should i activate the card if i have no plans of using it?
