I want to get a card that's either going to give me more UR points or start me up with a transfer partner for UR that I could eventually use for a trip (I had been planning to take a Eurotrip with the girlfriend last month, but instead she broke up with me and used the UR points I had set her up with to go to Greece for a friend's wedding). What should I consider?
You're running out of options for UR signup bonuses. What's your 5/24 status? Are you ok cancelling cards, as Chase will only allow one card in each family now. Also, you can't get a bonus on a CSP or CSR if you've received that bonus on EITHER card in the last 48 months. So depending on when you got your Chase cards, you're probably ineligible for any UR earning cards currently.
I don't really keep up with UR rules, as I won't be even close to eligible for a while, and I'm thinking maybe you should do the same and branch out. Look at where you would be transferring your URs to and aim for those CCs. For example, if you would be transferring to AA, get some Citi and Barclays cards. If Delta, go AMEX. If you really want flexibility with transfer partners, look at Amex MRs or Citi TY points. If you want general travel credits, look at the Arrival+ from Barclays. Plenty of options that are non-UR related. If you love Chase, look at IHG or Marriott Business that don't fall under 5/24.
