I thought there was nothing left to say? Why can that never be the case?

That was rhetorical.

I suspect we will find that the J&J clotting problems hit overweight women on birth control. All six were women between 18 and 48.

Sometimes well-intentioned, yet unaware of reality, comments come off as very offensive to the recipient. This would be one of those times. Don't answer this reply.

Or an overblown coincidence.

I don't know what your ****ing problem is. I never compared Covid to car accidents. No reasonable person could interpret the sentence you just quoted in that way. And I wasn't even talking to you until you started calling me an idiot and an imbecile for no reason at all.

But you are correct that I said there was nothing left to say, so I guess I will stop with this inane debate.

Come on 27. Don’t act like you didn’t think he was comparing covid to car accidents. Or was it just comparing car accidents to anything that bothered you?

Comparing car accident probabilities to anything related to covid or vaccines, exactly as I stated earlier. Do you guys have reading comprehension problems? Maybe I'm just a realist, baby.

Fair enough. Some redditor did the math and while I of course didn’t check it, their assertion was you would have had to drive 91 miles round trip for it to be more deadly than the 1 in 6.8 million deaths currently associated with the J and J vaccine.

Gooooooooo 2005!

In any case, I'm with you 27 on the "**** it" attitude in a couple of months. Have a slight issue as one of my co-workers has real auto-immune issues and can't take any vaxxes including this one. It pisses her off but it's not worth the risk of possibly dying. She's not anti but she can't tolerate the ingredients. In any event, she's preparing for a life of masks so I will wear one around her.

God I can't imagine how tilting it would be to have a legitimate health reason to not take this vaccine, all the while seeing the whole rest of the country (the non-stupids anyway) happily celebrating their immunization. Huge sympathy to her.

She's taking it rather well. She's celiac (for real) so not being able to eat or do almost anything a normal person can do is par for the course. She almost wears it as a badge of honor. What really bothers her is she passed a number of ailments to her two kids and she bears a heavy load for that. If she had been properly diagnosed prior to kids she wouldn't have had them. You know, feeling terrible all the time in the 70s in rural Illinois was just girl problems and nothing serious.

OK fair, I didn't think of the ADA angle. I would be interested in case law around kids being required to have vaccines to attend *public* schools (which should have a much higher burden for denying people than the Buffalo Bills do).

If the difference between this and that is "but these vaccines are new and unproven", oh man, I do not feel great about random circuit judges playing scientist.

She is the reason we have to stop being selfish bitches. This is what the clowns are failing to realize when they run around saying they are 100% to survive. It isn’t all about you. If you don’t want to get vaccinated for yourself, do it for humanity. Do it for the people who can’t get vaccinated. If everybody that can get vaccinated gets vaccinated, Covid will go away.

I almost do hope they mandate vaccinations and anti-vaxxers get shunned from every public event until they come to their senses.

I work for a fortune 100 company. I am in a smaller office. Out of 20 people I know of 5 not getting the vaccine.

I don’t want to interact with these morons. Selfish ****s.

Nytimes had a podcast where they were debating vaccine passports in the US. Seems like a no-brainer to me. They are using them in Israel and vaccinated people are back to nightclubs, concerts, etc.

Economically, it's hard to see how certain industries like Broadway theaters come back without it. There are many people hesitant to be packed in a crowd with unvaccinated people, even if they got the vaccine themselves.

Let me guess, they are all very proud and vociferous about their decision, as opposed to just keeping it to themselves as a personal decision they made?

I'll go to Siam Lotus with you, bro. F those clowns.

Too funny. 8 of them had dinner together on Friday at Siam Lotus. One of the anti vaxxers at that meal tested positive on Saturday. Whole family has it. Kids pulled from school and their class is now all remote.

I take pride that I didn’t even get invited to this meal. I made it very clear I wouldn’t be eating indoors until myself, close family, and friends all were fully vaccinated.

But happy to grab a meal with you there in the future. It’s very good Thai food imo.

LOLOLOL I would rage. Just from experience the number of people that clown and his family have upended between the restaurant(if they even told them), every kid in any of their kids' classes is now contact traced to remote learning for 10 days and also removed from any sports for 2 weeks that they might be trying to get a crap season out of, to all the close contacts just in your office pool. I mean, that is some enraging toolery right there.

We are defiitely Siam Lotusing this Summer. I will be good good by mid-May.

I got Pfizer #1 yesterday at Rite Aid. Very organized and took less than 10 minutes from check-in to leaving the store.

My arm was mildly sore. I didn't have a headache, but was a little foggy finishing up work. Took the dog for a walk and the fresh air seemed to help.

#2 scheduled in 3 weeks!
