Because getting sick really sucks? I'll take a free flu/Corona shot any day vs dealing with a fever, sore throat, chills etc...

My dr recommends it. Who says I'm young?

Do you always judge people you know nothing about, for reasons that have no impact on anyone but themselves?

I trust my dr, who went to school and learned what was good for me in this situation.

Dying is a negative effect of getting Covid also. Might not be big numbers, but it still happens.

Really nice mid-October afternoon, so walked up to the local in-grocery pharmacy, thinking I'd schedule my flu shot. Turned out they could do it right then. While back there, the pharmacist asked if I'd had the new covid booster. Nope.

We could do that right now. She ran to get the shot and verify my coverage with insurance. Five minutes later, back out in the nice sun.

Still not sure how she got the microchip into the needle from the bottle of fluid, though. On the plus side, when I'm being tracked, it will look a lot like when Hank Schroeder tracked Gustavo Fring.

I got both of those one day a couple weeks ago. Several hours later I started feeling miserable for about 12 hours. Looking forward to doing it again next year!

Has anyone got the Novavax booster instead of one of the mRNAs?

Hearing it may be more effective than the others - certainly harder to find places giving them out, though

Don't be silly, the chip is already in there. Think of the booster as a kind of DNA firmware.

Both shoulders a little sore. Tiniest bit of headache and sore throat. Slept pretty well, but woke up about 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep, so I imagine I'll lay down later and be back to normal-ish.

I did the flu/'Vid updates couple of weeks ago. One sore shoulder (saved a band-aid), and a slight headache that night were the only side effects.

I had to reboot my phone that night, also. Maybe related?

Done correctly (one in each arm). If one gets a reaction from an injection in the same arm, one will not know which vac gave you the reaction. (and for some of you) If only getting one vac, make sure they put it in the non-dominate arm in case they have to amputate.

For maximum convenience ask them to put a micro-bonesaw in along with the microchip. It will take a little longer, but the arm will just fall off one night in your sleep.

I've always gotten single vaccinations in my left (non-dominant) arm, but never thought of that good reason. Thanks, King!

The past two years I've done them both at the same time in opposite arms and one arm is invariably more sore than the other and I never remember which arm got what. Wife and I are scheduling for this year soon. I went to Walgreens last year and it took 90 minutes and she went to Target and was in and out in 15 min.

I went to my usual pharmacy at Kroger's. Made an appt and did all the paperwork online. In and out in ~ 20 minutes. It should have been quicker iyam, but they always seem to take their time.

I requested the fLu shot in my Left arm and coRonavirus in my Right arm so I could remember which was which if necessary. They recorded which was which so I could have checked back with them if it had been really necessary.

Nice thing about moving from blue CA to red CA is when you want to get a jab, you can get it same day if you think about it early enough, next day at the latest

the senate covid hearings the other day were pretty scary.

so many people suffering from long covid.

i didn't think i had any problems from covid, but this is the 3rd time i've been sick in 3 months. which is insane. i've never been sick twice in a short period, let alone 3 times.

Did you get the latest covid booster or flu shot? So far I've ducked any nose running including the holidays.

(Now that has to jinx me, right? lol)

i did not get the latest booster or flu shot. i got sick right away, and figured that would give me immunity for the season. it always has before.

i've never gotten sick more than once in a season before

I am totally certain that I still have some sort of COVID brain fog going on. It’s not as severe as it used to be, but I’m positive that my cognitive functions are well below 100%.

I imagine this is affecting a *lot* of people, and they may or may not be aware of any impairment.

I'm still oversleeping since having Covid a month ago.

I've also been sick twice in the past month. Big red flag. Will be re-booting the KN95 era starting immediately.
