Also, "the system" hasn't assumed that there is no possibility of biological warfare, which makes it even more irrelevant. It assumes that it is quite a good possibility worth worrying about. "The system" hasn't even ruled out an attack by aliens.
Also, also, it wouldn't matter to "the system" whether a virus were man-made or an accident or entirely the fault if pangolins and bats getting their freak on. You would need the same model of ventilator in every one of those cases.
