I don't think it's as simple as them just insta-believing whatever propaganda they get spoonfed. I think a lot of people are at least functional enough to know that they're making a choice to be spoonfed because they're drawn to being part of the tribe, and from there they'll knowingly do whatever mental gymnastics they need to in order to eliminate their cognitive dissonance and buy into what they're being fed.

I do believe there are unthinking rubes who are just brainwashed, but I think they're probably in the minority of that group who adopts this ridiculous worldview in general. I think the others are making a choice to knowingly deceive themselves. Anyone who falls into this category shouldn't get the same pass.

ABC's morning show is on in the background. Heard her say, "return to live music" and "post pandemic". I feel bad for the people in the middle, that aren't sure what to think on their own.

So all these people that are getting COVID and saying they are fully vaccinated, is there any check being done, or just taking them at their word?

Now that there have been breakthrough cases, seems like non-vaxxers can just say "I'm vaccinated, what else could I have done".

I went to a comedy show a few weeks back that had a disclaimer on the ticketing website stating "21+ and vaccinated patrons only."

It doesn't really matter. The CDC had the vaccine card pdf on their website for vaccination centers to print the cards like in February. It has since been downloaded, shared all over the place and people are printing it on card paper and filling in the vaccination information.

It's a scary thought that an anti-vaxxer goes to the hospital and tells them he's been vaccinated just to help stir doubt about the vaccine, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Some bouncer won't know if any of the numbers and letters are legit, but I feel that some workplaces may start verifying the legitimacy of vax cards. I got my second shot on the patio of a cafe before it opened by the local clinic and the lady was very thorough at documenting my ****.

I'm not carrying my actual card around, but have pictures and emails to myself on the phone.

Red Cross was able to verify my vax status with a blood test. It wasn't instant.

I'm reactive, so I got that going for me.

I'm not even talking about hospitals.

I'm talking about recent high profile cases in the sports world like Jon Rahm (lol @ him) and Frank Reich. Those do more for the anti-vax crowd than hospital numbers IMO.

Is this just an antibody test that can substantiate a person's claim of being vaccinated by simply having the antibodies present?
