Got mine Saturday, ordered whenever it was they opened up

I got mine on Thursday last week. I ordered the day before the website went public, although it seems like a ton of people had the super secret early access link. (Ordered 1/18, received 1/27)

Also received ours last week. Was pleasantly surprised with the turnaround time.

Mine were in the mailbox today which means they probably arrived Saturday

They're still good and better than any other mask even with a "bad fit" though, just not as effective as they could be.

I know it's "theoretically" possible to still get covid with an N95 on, but I wonder if much of anyone outside a hospital actually has. KN95s too.

i got JnJ initially. it looks like we might benefit from a second booster... seems like it's still early to tell. but i'd guess that a second booster is good for us

it's a shame that vaccines aren't distributed fairly... and mostly that they are patented bleh

but if a second booster helps me, and is available, i will get it

got pfizer booster yesterday, arm was a little sore but otherwise no reaction

chose that over moderna since moderna was a half jab and this was the full and my prior vaccine wasn't the rna version so wanted the whole shebang

it's nice to have a cdc vax card because now if anyone were stringent i have something to show that's recognizable but it's still sketchy af as it leaves out first two jabs and just has my booster so could still be a problem if someone wanted to be difficult

FYI, “Each dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine delivers 30 µg of mRNA, while each of Moderna’s contains 100 µg.” So, even a half dose of Moderna is stronger than a single Pfizer.

I had Pfizer for my first two shots with hardly any side effects. One booster of Moderna kicked my ass.

Someone should really track all the phases. First it was a hoax. Then it was just the flu. Then HCQ was a miracle cure. Then hospitals were elevating the death totals to get extra money. Then the vaxx is killing people. Then ivermectin. Probably a shitton more phases I'm forgetting, all straight down the old goldfish memory hole.

And yeah the CDC was wrong on masks. The CDC sucks. No argument. But at least they got it right eventually.

So that the people who were in any way misled by it could ignore it?

It's not a secret at this point that a significant number of people actively want to be lied to.

yes fox covid coverage was awful, and people should be held accountable. but it's no surprise at all that they're not.

the iraq wmd story was HUGE and almost all usa media lied/failed. no one was held accountable or lost their job... maybe that one reporter for nyt? i forget.

but yeah i'd be shocked if people were held accountable or even just lost credibility, but nope.

I got my free test kits today. I requested them that 1st Tuesday.

After much thought and contemplation, and having always been informed of numbers like positivity rate, hospitalizations & deaths, I am now pivoting back to a 'back to normal' mindset. Hopefully MA follows CT(though I doubt it) and lifts mask mandates, especially for children in schools.

My fight will now be working to not let nefarious factions and bad actors in society try to keep the fear ramped up and continue any covid-related rules as society moves on(for now). This will be my next fight: not letting people/states/etc keep covid rules in place when there is no more need for them.

**** your 'how hard is it to wear a mask?' bullshit, some children have not had a regular day of school in over two years, numbers are way way way down(as predicted w/ omicron), and that **** needs to stop. There is no difference between a food store, a restaurant, or a school, so there sure as **** shouldn't be a difference in mask protocols.

The real issue is whether you trust those telling people with 2 shots, a delta infection, and an omicron infection they need to mask right now to tell the truth about anything.

There may well be circumstances where even those people need to take precautions, but saying that's always the case isn't helpful.

The thing that surprised me are the recent total deaths per day, I thought they were usually around 1500 but the last 2 weeks it's averaged close to 2500 a day.
