Key part of the response is that a booster is a temporary fix, putting more antibodies in your nose that are going to come right back down again. Cellular memory which prevents severe infections was already strong before the booster.

Chasing after preventing a bad cold with a shot every few months is stupid, especially when global vaccine equity is taken into account.

Ultimately they say they feel okay with telling people > 60 to get a booster (this is kinda to placate the host though who has a mini-tantrum against global vaccine equity) as well as the usual immunocompromised groups etc., but definitely not more than that unless and until we get actual data supporting it.
