Got a booster shot yesterday, as part of a Pfizer trial. Last night just some arm soreness, but today not gonna lie... feel like crap. About the same as I felt after dose #2, in fact a little worse I'd say.

I find it odd all the pushback between Pfizer and the CDC about the need for boosters. I think the data is pretty clear that immunity wanes quite a bit after 6-8 months. That plus increase of Delta and other variants, means boosters will likely be in our future. I suspect this will at some point be a combined annual flu/Covid vaccine.

A COVID-19 vaccine concern that I've tried to find real-world data to address, but to no avail, is its potential effects on male fertility. I’ve read over what medical experts have said about how the mechanisms by which the vaccines work should not affect your chances of conceiving nor the health of the fetus, but I would still like to see some real-world data confirming this conclusion before relying on it. I’ve looked everywhere on the internet for male post-vaccination conception data, but have not been able to find much of anything. All of the official sources (CDC, FDA, etc.) say that there is no evidence that the vaccines adversely affect fertility; however, there doesn’t seem to have been much attempt to collect such fertility data on men after they received COVID-19 vaccinations in the first place (there was this one University of Miami study, but it only looked at men’s sperm count and known sperm health parameters before and after vaccination, not whether any of them successfully conceived a child after vaccination). This post is my attempt to collect information on my own on whether men are still conceiving normally since receiving the vaccines and the fetuses are still in good health.

Has any men here (or anyone’s male partner) conceived a child since receiving the COVID-19 vaccine? If so, is the fetus in good health?

Amazing that people are still looking for reasons the vaccines don't work at this point when every single data point says otherwise. I dunno maybe for all the screaming about lockdowns and masks people actually like them? Why else would they go so out of their way to talk down a miraculously effective vaccine?

Yep and if everyone was vaccinated we'd be back to normal. Mask mandate for all is because virus can still be transmitted by the vaccinated to the unvaccinated, who can then end up dead or on a ventilator. If everyone was vaccinated this wouldn't even be a concern.

Yeah but for the vast majority of people over the age of 12 it was their choice to not be vaccinated. Caveat emptor mofos.

That isn't anyone's argument. The argument is that everyone is spreading disease, we're in a ****ing pandemic. The unvaccinated are spreading VARIANTS of said disease, and they will continue to do so.

Get vaccinated and mask up, literally the same message from the very beginning.

If so, then those people definitely need to be held accountable at some point. Regardless, their culpability has nothing to do with the current problem at hand.

I'm just looking for evidence that can help debunk a potential vaccine hesitancy concern. It's just an attempt to rule something out. If no man here who has been vaccinated has conceived a child since receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, then that would lead me to believe that the concern is slightly more likely to be real (but still needing more evidence to draw that conclusion). If plenty of people have conceived, then that would lead me to believe that the concern is less likely to be real.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but LA has roughly 52% fully vaccinated. Why do you think the mandate is meant to protect the vaccinated?
