My Texas transplant friend has a spot in Portland Maine that is probably top of the charts for NE, and has survived the panny.

Went to get my regular allergy shot yesterday. For the first time since coronas, they're no longer taking temps & requiring hand sanitization upon entry.

Everyone was still wearing masks, but opening a little I guess.

i vaguely remember reading somewhere that you're not supposed to get multiple vaccines.

but the JnJ vax is actually really effective. i feel protected. JnJ keeps getting stronger and stronger over time, unlike pfizer and moderna. i don't mean the vaccine is improving, but your protection improves the more time passes. like 2 weeks out it was something like 84% protection. 4 weeks out no one in the trials got sick. and it might be something like 3 months you keep getting stronger and stronger immunity.

i also like that JnJ is a traditional vaccine. i'm a little scared to get the moderna pfizer mrna or whatever it is

Got to watch vegas go from 90%+ masked to less than 10% masked throughout the day as the news spread. Cheers went up in the casinos when the change was announced.

I took the second shot of the Sinopharm mid Feb and got an antibody test done two weeks back, showing 10.00 AU/mL, which is right on the border. So my doctor arranged for the Pfizer. Took the first shot the day after and just had some pain in that arm for a couple of days.

The doctor stressed that there were no official guidelines out there on multiple vaccines, since there are no credible data for any of them, but since I didn't have antibodies to speak of I could switch to Pfizer.

Sinopharm did work for me at least for 6-7 weeks, and my neighbor had 22 AU/mL after 3 months, so it's different from person to person.

Is it that crazy to make people have to flash a phone pic of a vax card(even if it's fake), like you have to show your membership card at costco, for a few months.
