I have a question about the vaccine re: allergies.

Am I correct in understanding that the vaccine is only potentially bad for people with bee-type allergies? i.e., not allergic to stuff like trees/grass/etc.

My Mom, who still gets 90% of her news from a newspaper and 10% from TV just said to me last night that I should go get an allergy test from a Dr. before taking the vaccine because it has shown some side effects in people with shellfish allergies.

I may have had negative reactions to that when I was 6, but I've been eater shrimp, lobster, crab, and scallops for 20+ years.

If I hate shrimp, lobster, crab, and scallops does that mean I'm going to hate the vaccine too?

You do not understand the issue. Covid causes large numbers of people to become seriously ill, demanding high levels of medical attention, for a considerable time. The purpose of all anti-Covid measures, from lockdowns to vaccination programs, is to prevent the health services of the relevant country from being overwhelmed by Covid cases so that deaths from all causes, in the absence of normal healthcare provision, soar upward. That is the thing.
