Virus has hit a sweet spot in social coordinates.

By ****ing up some but leaving plenty with non to mild symptoms it creates a natural divide in lived experience which has a massive impact on how individuals will view the diseases politically.

Anyone run across a service that would verify a person has been quarantined - as in certify they have been in isolation for 14 days? This would be a good thing to have to get around traveling to other countries and then doing a 14 day quarantine. Roughly a cell phone would work, but maybe need something like an ankle bracelet and cameras to monitor nobody enters quarantinee's place. Then maybe even an escort to the airport to finish off the service. Of course the destination country would have to accept the risk from a plane ride.

It would be a service paid for by the person wanting to travel out of the country - going somewhere and then having to quarantine once you get there is a dealbreaker for most.

85 cases and rising from one restaurant...in one week...practicing all proper social distancing and occupancy rules...in a relatively low-count area. If this is anything but a massive outlier, restaurants are done until a vaccine or total eradication occurs. Which is to say, the USA#9 restaurant industry(as we know it) is FINISHED. safe occupation inside ANY establishment totally depends on their HVAC system. staying two yards apart and wearing a mask has minimal impact on your safety if you're breathing the same recirculated air as everyone else. if the fresh air exchanges are inadequate and an infected person (or persons) are there for long enough you will most likely inhale a dose large enough to be contagious.

I don't think other countries would go for that, you break quarantine in the process of travelling to the new country, need another 14 days after that.

assuming surgery went well, he's as active as ever in the sports betting section of the forum and hasn't mentioned it, he also claims to be insured up the wazoo so that probably helps (although he did mention some of his treatment for the disease itself wasn't covered)

Told my parents on Wednesday they couldn't take my son and daughter to Arizona next week because of the Covid issues the state was having. They were upset. They are very conservative politically. Yesterday (2 days later) they told me they canceled their trip all together. Maybe people are waking up finally no matter their political affiliation.

Doubtful, they probably just had the trip tied in with the grandkids. They were going to show them off to all their friends too.

My kid's friend tested negative for Covid. Viral pneumonia. Found out yesterday he became an oldschool Party Poker grinder over the last few days of heavy quarantine too, collecting 11 piss bottles of gatorade in his room. Son-I-am-proud.jpeg.
