i don't think this means the company isn't legit, just goes to show the smoke and mirrors that is marketing - ie they probably had customers specifically requesting kn95 but demanding american made ones so now we're making the masks here but getting chinese gov certification instead of our own - which is absolutely not what the customer base wants but rather the opposite lolololololol

There are just too many counterfeits out there. Yeah, you can verify the numbers with the gov website, but they're using those numbers, too. And to make shipping as quick as possible, Amazon ships from the nearest warehouse to your location, so if you avoided a "3M sold by company X and shipped by Amazon" and went with a more expensive "3M sold by 3M and shipped by Amazon" and the warehouse that is closest to you houses the sold by X version, that's the one you're getting even though you paid more for the specific sold by 3M item.

If you really want a legit N95 and be able to wear it knowing it's doing what it's supposed to, then buy it from a retailer, online or brick and mortar, that you can be sure is getting them direct from the company or from an authorized distributor of the company. I literally see several hundred 3M N95's at each big box hardware store, and it's been that way for a good 6 months. If you live in the US, you're likely driving past several thousands of legit N95's each day.

Pretty sure Rick is right. KN95 is just the Chinese version. I think prepandemic they were most popular for construction work type stuff.

All legit N95's are NIOSH approved. Like half of KN95's are. The ones I've seen/used were trash compared to a 3M N95. When you breath in, the whole mask sucks in like a paper bag. A 3M N95 is sturdy and does not do that and seals around the nose far better.

I've been buying n95/k95 masks from jondon for many years.

I'd like to think jondon has continued to buy from reputable manufacturers because ime they always have.

There are a couple competitors in that industry like msc that are reputable companies also.

I'm not sure if the sturdiness means much (there are N95s that suck in and out), but the seal does and yea N95s are known to be better than KN95s. They're significantly more uncomfortable to wear and uglier than a black KN95 though.

I have an internal battle about Kid Rock... I started following him back in 1992 with the Polyfuse Method. I found his first two albums absolutely hilarious but surprisingly listenable. When he signed the contract with Atlantic I was thrilled and finally got to see (and meet) him at a small bar in town. Great stuff.

Still listen to his first three albums and the EP but anything past those I'm out. In one sense I am really impressed by his drive as it took him about 10 years to make it without any real help but since then.. not so much.

Imagine if that idiot friend of his croaked in a car accident because he actively and loudly refused to wear a seat belt and he also intentionally disabled his air bags, because nobody was going to make him have to be restricted or have a Chinese inflatable balloon potentially threaten him. He then died when he plowed into a random tree on the side of the road at night when he refused to have his lights on (screw Bill Gates/Soros for saying he needs lights) and flew through the windshield on impact. Regarding the N95s, I have a doctor friend who told me that the medical grade N95 masks that they use have to be custom fitted to your head. And that this is tested by the mask company by releasing a chemical during the fitting with a powerful smell. If you can smell it, then the mask isn't working.

Got ours via USPS Saturday. Began receiving delivery and tracking info via USPS Informed Delivery maybe 10 days prior???

I got mine on Fri Jan 28th and ordered them in the early order period of Jan 18th. My mother in law ordered hers on the 18th about 30-45 minutes before me and she got them in like 4 days.

We both live in AZ 2 miles apart.
