Those liability issues are crying out for a legislative solution. Indemnity for vaccine manufacturers and significant payments to challenge trial volunteers.
To those who say that the disadvantaged are more likely to volunteer if paid, I respond that the disadvantaged have been much more vulnerable to covid, and that it is precisely those populations I am trying to save with my challenge trial theory.
