There have been cases of reinfection, but that rate is much lower than the infections you see when covid breaks out in virgin territory as it were.
However I should have been more clear, this winter we find out how much the immunity (via whatever means,) we have stands up to the pressure of winter+delta. Does it wane? Does it hold?
The prediction for no surge has the immunity winning.
I personally would not count those chickens just yet.
