I thought that sear think was pretty cool so I looked it up. 4.2k. Tad pricey for a griddle.

50 day dry aged prime ribeye trimmed up. Smoked til IT of 120ish then seared for ~90 seconds per side. Delicious.

Noice, I would pick dead center. It has a nice cap and undisturbed eye. Farthest back near the scraps may be nice too, can't see well enough though.

Dead center was #2! Top right also looking solid, but camera angle never gave him a fair shake.

Excellent work! How did the dry aging come through?

Great, definitely had a nice funk to it. I have a bone in ribeye on deck going 60 days.

Not sure I’d disagree but BDV has to be in the running. Excellent preparation + all he’s done with aging. Only issue is he’s been MIA.

There’s a lot of legends itt. Sparks, Durango, el d, malice, replol, gobbo, BD, Econ (who if I’m not mistaken was utter trash at the beginning? Maybe another poster). There’s the dude with a side of celery sticks and milk duds with the weird linear plating etc etc.

The last 3 may be the same person or an amalgamation of like 10 steak posters.

Oh **** IBD as well. And I’m definitely missing some folks. That’s just off the top of my head.

Considering I cooked the best steak of my life, in taste and looks, and still got 3rd in that competition, I agree with hoagie!

I think almost everyone that posts regularly is pretty damn elite, I just occasionally exploit wine/cleavage for slight upticks.
