THE METHOD: sprayed rust covered grates at rental house with PAM, grabbed random seasonings from cupboard that expired 2008, threw on weak propane grill for like 8 minutes? Poked with finger, felt ok, removed. No slow cook, drunk people were hungry and good wine was disappearing the longer I took.
