Believe it or not- I had broiler on high for 8 minutes.

Bought an All-Clad G5 8.5" frying pan.

It's 20 grams heavier than the triply, but that could be in the handle. The pan is clearly thinner and I couldn't tell any difference in performance. My guess is All-Clad decided the carbon fiber is a better conductor (maybe even holder of heat) and decided they could cut weight (costs?). Disappointed, but not surprised. All clad has been engineering all their lines to perform pretty much the same since the D7 flopped.

But... All Clad had it on sale, I needed a small 8.5" pan, and they were giving away a set of BBQ tools with a purchase of G5. Now I just need to use these BBQ tools on my nonexistent grill.

Would you guys have any tips/experiences grinding meat in a Vitamix? Never thought of it but then saw it somewhere. Tried to make burgers out or rib-eye as shop didnt have many options. First time making burgers out of that, first thought was "this meat should be a steak". Anyways, grinded one a bit more and it became somewhat pasty, not my favorite texture but was better than I feared. The more chunky looked good but wasnt a huge fan of that, not sure if another cut woulda worked better as a burger. Do have a small meat grinder and that texture I like, just wondering if I could get a good result with the blender. Didnt find great vids on it on youtube at least. Thanks!

Don't want to say it was a mistake really but taught my wife how to make bacon and now it's her side gig.

Doing a batch like this every week now and barely any left for me but the trimmings as it's all presold. But the trimmings are kind of the best part.
This is about 20lb.

Birthday coming up and I decided to do short ribs instead of steak this year. Found some AUS angus short ribs. Also picked up some Iberico pork spare ribs for another day.

Guys, what’s everyone’s favorite air fryer? How necessary and/or useful do we feel an air fryer is?

My wife bought this one a bit buzzed late one night, had no intention of getting one.

Big hits so far have been wings, potatoes and bacon. Broccoli was fine enough. Haven't tried much else yet. We aren't big on packaged frozen stuff like tots but people love it for those apparently. I'll be curious how much we still use it in a year.

wings are great. spouse makes seasoned croutons from sourdough bread in the air fryer all the time when we’re on a salad kick, and she also makes great chicken strips (breast strips with egg wash, flour, and a bread crumb/panko mix). the bread crumbs are crushed air fryer croutons. Alexis seasoned potato puffs (tots) are amazing, but that’s the only frozen food we’ve tried.
