Another vote for the Jimmy Fallon commercial. I keep hoping for an alternate version where the baby chucks a knife or other potentially lethal object at him.

I thought I could never hate a McD's commercial more than that one, but they managed to top it. The one where the girl says "so-and-so's BF said that Sundays are just for watching football"...so the guy goes starts dreaming of horrible scenarios where he gets kicked out of the house for indicating that he actually has a penis and likes to watch sports...then finally comes out with the brilliant "He's a jerk!" and everyone smiles. Kill, kill, kill.

There's just a weird feel to the McD's commercials. It's like the execs looked at other ads that are actually quirky and/or sarcastically funny, and said "make our commercials like this!" and then gave the job to someone who has absolutely no sense of humor.

I agree with this a lot but I never realized it.

They were running these loud-ass Jennifer Lopez commercials for the butt ugly Fiat 500 during every single football game this weekend. Volume was cranked at least double normal.

I hate these. I don't think ford has ever made a good commercial. It's like they only market to people that are (1) stupid, or (2) insecure. Or both.

Not a novel observation, but the beer commercials that try and make drinking the correct lite beer the non-***** choice are just the damn worst. Like I feel like those commercials aren't even for Miller Lite. They're secretly for MGD and High Life drinkers who are all "WHATEVER, THEY'RE ALL *****".

Lite beer should be cheaper, they cost the same amount per bottle as normal beer but you need to buy more of them to get drunk.
12 beers at 5% is enough for me, but if I buy lite I'll need an 18 case, ridiculous.

I hate to admit it, but that High Life hand truck guy is slowly causing me to resent the vets of Iraq and Afghanistan. So awkward/clunky and so over-played.

Yes, but I am strangely attracted to the actress in that commercial. And she's not quite as annoying as Flo from Progressive. Her musical pets are very annoying however.

What gets me about that commercial is she says that she taught her dog and this cockatoo to sing the hits of the 80s. Why is the dog her dog while the cockatoo is just some random bird, and if it's not hers, where did she get it?

Very perceptive of you, I hadn't noticed that before. I can only assume the cockatoo is a musician on loan. A guest vocalist, if you will. What I don't understand is how she intended to save money by training the animals to play not only that song, but "all the hits of the 80s". Where is the money coming from? Did she send the recording to Geico, hoping they'd pick it up for a commercial? I mean I guess it worked out but at the time she recorded the video it must have seemed like a longshot.

Edit: OH, yet another thing I didn't understand. My listening comprehension re: this commercial was very poor. "Downloading music can be expensive." Weird how I didn't catch that, they're performing for her so she doesn't have to download the songs.
