Actual lineup looks pretty awesome this year. Still not sure if it's enough to make up for the heat, parking and all the frustratingly hot 20-yr old tail I can't have and will feel like a creep for checking out. Love being 40!!!

How has no one said Faith No More yet? I'm considering making the 4 hour drive out just to see them.

They have songs besides "Epic"?

lineup looks awesome, might be worth the drive from central AZ

I have hard feelings towards Coachella though ever since last year. Tried to find a hotel room to crash at on my way to Commerce and every hotel anywhere close to Indio was booked solid.

They were playing a new song on Alt Nation on Sirius today. Not bad, but not great.

One of my all time favorites, they did reunite last summer though I''m not sure if they played in the States at all.

I'm fairly certain that they haven't, which makes me feel like I might have to go to Coachella just in case this is it.

I did watch their whole set streaming from Download Festival and it was great.

Yea, changes things completely. Can't believe OP omitted Pavement. They are not reuniting indefinitely, and will have no new new material. It is strictly a reunion tour to give the fans what they want and put some money in their pockets, which is A okay with me.

The only other dates scheduled in the US as of now are 4 shows in central park at the end of summer, but there are a bunch of Euro, AU, festival dates as well.

And http://coachella.com should take care of your other inquiries.

I will almost certainly be going Saturday. Excited to see Porcupine Tree, Faith No More, The Dead Weather, and Muse, among others.

Coachella 2009 was my first ever music festival, and I'll be back there again this year. Carpooling with my friends from Austin, can't freaking wait!

So it seems like every hotel in the area is sold out, I was thinking of coming out to coachella, doing a couple days in LA, fri and sat at Coachella, then flying to San Fran and hitting up SF and Napa for a couple days, but if I can't get a place to stay for coachella this is all kind of a bust.

Being that I know nothing about cali and have never been to a festival of this nature, where is a reasonable place to stay (distance not $$$) that I would somehow be able to get back to the hotel at night and back to coachella in the morning?

Anybody have any ideas?

Ugh, that drive is terrible. Just fly into Palm Springs and don't hate yourself.

on site sucks at coachella. no fires, no alchohol, they search your **** when you're coming in.

oh , and no noise past 10pm

camp here http://www.riversidecountyparks.org/...lake-cahuilla/ it's a short drive from the empire polo fields but wayyyy better. they might say it's booked up but they always reserve spots if you just show up the day of

and if you're looking now all hotels within 50 miles will be booked up. i'm sure you can find something though, if you dont mind dropping 250+ per night
