I know this is a little off topic but I'm hoping you might be able to help me. For the past two years, my husband has been getting really into learning poker theory and strategy. I wanted to get him something related to this for Christmas that isn't like a tacky t-shirt or chipset etc. I was wondering if you had any gift recommendations? Good books, software or subscriptions or something I could get him to help with the study? I was thinking of a buy-in for a tournament, or maybe a poker go subscription so he can watch world series of poker live. If you could let me know of anything you'd like to receive as a gift I'd really appreciate it!

Does he play life or online?
For online a HUD (PokerTracker is one possible and actually a good one) is a must.
If you are in USA and he plays only life, then I don't think he needs one.

Fully agree. My wife got me Poker Tracker for Christmas back when I was playing online (Pre-Black Friday) and I thought it was a great present. Flopzilla or Piosolver are very useful, even if he only plays live, if he doesn't already have one or the other.

What kind of poker does he mostly play/study? There are a bunch of training sites and some are very specialized.

Something like an upswing or runitonce subscription if he's trying to get good at the game imo
