Last year I did that as I didn't find out until the last minute. Someone pointed out I should let the casino eat the variance on a bet and I have some time this year to get things atm-tittied.

I think I can do Paypal or bitcoin.

Lock up #0 for gobbo and his as of yet undecided pick!
Lock up #23 for gregorio and the Guelph Wellington Seniors Association!

2/325Falcon and Howard Treesong are both confirmed elite posters who already have 2 nominations each, so let's go ahead and lock up spots for both of them ahead of schedule. Choose your numbers and charities, gentlemen!

Also going to lock up a slot for SGT RJ ahead of schedule as well. She only has one valid nomination so far, but she also has a ghostnom from tylertwo, has contributed a ton to OOT & 2p2, and is pumping up the jam with a pledge of $5/number, which is a pretty amazing pledge. I don't want to just let people buy their way in, so no more of that unless someone pledges $10/number or greater.

Here's the current list of autoincludes and nominees so far:

Names in bold have already been pre-selected for wheel spots. You can nominate them again if you want, but they are already in. Invalid nominations have not been listed.

Keep up the nominations, folks! We have 23 slots left to fill + alternates, let's get this thing moving! Tell us which OOTers deserve a slot on the wheel! If you don't see a name that should be there, speak up! If you see a name already listed that you think should be selected, second their nomination! How has no one seconded mmbt0ne or lbr!?!?!

Seriously, if you haven't already nominated some OOTers, do so. Both to make the selection process easier on me, and more importantly, to recognize the OOTers that help make OOT great. Say thank you to the people that you enjoy reading by nominating them. Spend a couple of minutes to write up some shoutouts and spread some positivity! Let your favorite OOTers know you think they're doing a great job!

I won't call you an idiot because you are knowingly trying to break the rules instead of having just not read them. That said, only your Howard Treesong nomination is being counted as you've already nominated 4 others. Let's make sure we give everyone an opportunity to nominate.

Thanks Tyler. Should be a blast to attend.
You only have a single (invalid) nomination, chief. If you get at least two valid nominations from OOT regs, I'll make an exception and fast track you in based on your contributions to OOT.

You only had a single nomination at the time, and hadn't been selected. Also, the ASPCA is already claimed by tylertwo, pick a different charity. I'm thinking The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too is a solid pick for you. Maybe the Dachshund Rescue of North America as a close second.

#14 for Jim Ed Rice ftw and the USO because when I landed back in USA #1 from the Middle East some lady I had never met and will never see again gave me a slightly stale brownie and said welcome home. It's been 11 years and I still remember that brownie.

I'd also like to nominate some OOTiots who rarely post now:

d10
Best driver from the Hundred And Worst

LFS
Baby helmet expert

Dids
Because lolDids and if he gets in he'll have to post in OOT

Epic lurker slot
Because some lurker could make an epic low number post itt and then everybody would be all like OH SNAP. And some of you lurking mofos need to start posting.

Fifth spot is for sale, obv.

Thank you for the honor, I've got details from de captain and will ship to cover my pledge today. Also pledge $50 for my charity regardless of outcome. It was either RAINN or Wounded Warriors and I'm pretty sure WW already has coverage regardless.

Also second nomination for lbr, whose one liners in the tbab thread alone merit nomination. Also add to nominations for Alobar and El D, both of whom contribute a great deal to OOT, as well as TylerTwo, who is just an all around funny guy.

March 11th, at 7 pm, right?

I'd really like to make it, but it would be a little crazy for me. I finish flying at 11 pm on the 10th (in New York), and start another trip at 0600 on the 13th. Still...tempting to hop a flight on the 11th, be there for the spin, and then play some poker and fly back on the 12th.

chopstick, are you going to meet in the same general area as last year?

I'd like to nominate:

jmakin: Although he was never quite the same after dropping the "mecrzy" part, he brought lots of entertainment, and this place is less interesting without him. Maybe he'd even pop in to rage-tell us how stupid all the charities we picked are.

Dr Spaceman: Even if we can't have the Spaceman who was in the top 5 of the LC leaderboard, we deserve at least one Spaceman, and this one's a doctor to boot. Oh, and he's brought the laughter here for years.

Rei Ayanami: Rei's also brought us lots of laughs, compiled stats for the LC thread and, more impressively, a comprehensive accounting of everything that's ever happened throughout the history of Ms OOT. He's also really good at telling stupid posters how stupid they are. Another person who should post here more often.

I'll 2nd the following:

BluffMyNuts based on his contributions in tbab's thread and the fact that he likes to donate to charities, not just as pledged above, but I believe he also did so or offered to do so a few times in tbab's thread.

Dids because he was a solid contributor for years and OOT--especially the LC thread--is less interesting without him. He probably has PMs disabled, though, so there's no way to get in touch with him if he's selected.

anarchist because I appreciate that if I don't get to the worst posters thread soon enough, he's already added the person I'd come to add. He knows what's what here.
