Funny thing is great soccer teams comes from places that have a high rate of toxoplasmosis in humans, so if you wanna be good at the footy ball go hard with the cat pee!
So what do you think the factors are that cause cat owners to imagine a 2-way relationship then?

Dogs are loving companions, cats are bitchy roommates.

Dog.

I grew up with a cat in the house and then got a cat of my own when I was in my early twenties. I had never bonded with a dog. My cat died young. Sad.

When my wife and I moved in together, her dog came along obviously. I bonded with it quickly and started to understand why they call dogs man's best friend but I still wasn't sure which animal I liked more. Fast forward about 3 years and we decide to get a cat. He's cool enough but I realized how poorly I can communicate with the cat and how well with the dog. Also, the dog appears to care about my wife and I vs. by how much the cat cares by orders of magnitude.

It took me getting a cat after only having a dog for a while to realize dog >> cat.

Dogs are a lot easier to find homes for than cats. It's sad really.

While statistically gingers are male that kitty looks female to me. Cute either way.

Bah. I should have stuck to statistical odds. He clearly has just embraced his feminine side.

cats are basically for lazy rapists. Dogs are for productive members of society.

Sheesh! Even cats deserve a modicum of respect.

We have an orange cat named Oliver. He used to be named Olivia until we took him to the vet to be spayed

But dogs >>> cats.
I never wanted a cat because I am allergic to them. **** democracy in one's own household!!!

If dogs weren't quite so much work and need so much space I'd probably get one. But Gonzo and I live in one room + the outdoors so it's an interesting relationship. He comes and goes, hunting and napping outside, but he never seems to go far.

His food is here and he sleeps inside during winter. He's a lazy, lazy bastard who likes to play rough but is also getting more affectionate as he gets older. He's got a good life.

I'd have a dog if it wasn't the nut low in the maintenance department. I mean who doesn't want something that slobbers your knob every time it sees you? Plus it loves you and only you!

Lol

Because I'm such a good friend, I made my friend's kids (and gf) a bet about how loyal dogs are.

We would stand on opposite ends of the dog - about 5 feet away - and whoever the dog (a very well-trained golden retriever of about ten years) ran to would win. I would get a piece of meat of my choice and they would get the built-up love they accumulated with the dog (lol). Both sides got to talk to the dog as much as they wanted to coax it, but I had the steak. I had no previous contact with the dog.

After the third time of the dog coming to me my friend had enough, got the leash and walked up to the dog, said "you wanna go for a walk?" and started walking to the front yard. The dog immediately followed.

Moral: walks > steaks > people

I'd argue that dog wasn't well trained, much less very well-trained.
