Both are AWD.
One has 5,000 miles and is near the top of the line trim with all the bells and whistles (TRD Off Road Premium).
One has 17,000 miles and is the base model.
Is the higher trim and 12,000 fewer miles worth the $6,000 price difference? I’m specifically wondering if it’s worth it from a resell perspective in a few years. Does higher trim hold its value for future reselling?
not really no. with economy cars, people want in at the lowest possible price on the secondary market. you will get more money, but not that same or even similar price spread of $6,000.
if your goal is to maximize ROI and cost basis, get the base model. if you goal is to enjoy the car while you own it, get whatever model your heart desires and don't complain when it comes time to resell... Atoyot's have supreme resale value no matter what the model or the trim level.
The esthetics of the higher trim off-road Atoyot's are really really nice, but they are mainly cosmetic in nature, even if there are a few 'performance' advantages to some of them.
