Buying a gift card - where do you wait in this line?

Went out for ice cream at one of the local designer/craft/gourmet ice cream shops the other day—I got a scoop of coconut-chocolate and one of peanut butter. Yeah, that's right, the peanut butter was amazing.
Anyway, line-ups routinely go out the door and past a neighbouring shop or two. We were fortunate as the lineup was relatively short and contained inside the shop that night. Mind you, if the lineup is ever too long when we go back I am secure in the knowledge that I am welcome to "SKIP THE LINE BUY A PINT"—cause that's exactly what the sign says at the upper left hand corner of the pic.
This place knows what's up.
