Burning down the house...pics obv

Talking heads for the mood music
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNnAvTTaJjM

Or how I spent my Saturday morning. 45 minutes from match to ashes.
Hyde likes fire.

I smell smoke:

Anyone seen the cat? actually asked.

This upstair back window was belching huge roaring flame the entire time.

This is what they call 'fully involved".

I'm thinking we can't save it now.

That's all folks. (ancient Saturday morning cartoon reference)

If you managed to kill the cat then you already exhibit two signs of becoming a serial killer.

The SO wanted to redecorate, I kept putting her off. I'm a procrastinator.
She decided to force the issue.

I assume he wants to build a new house where that house was standing.

It almost is.
Actual story is a friend of mine had a camp on the lake and wanted to remodel, which turned into a rebuild situation.
His options were to take down the building and bring it to the transfer station and dispose of it by weight....that would have been ugly.
Or he could have torn it down and burned it piece by piece in the driveway.
Or as he did, contact the local fire department for a controlled burn exercise. There were two local, very rural, fire departments there. Given building codes and materials these days there are far fewer fires to experience and firefighters need to know what the are going to face when it happens irl.
I thought they were going to go into the burning building wearing tanks and stuff, but they pretty much just watched it burn while pointing out to the younger firefighters how it traveled and that stuff I guess.
Fire is pretty incredible stuff.....and I do like it.
I'll get back to you on the cat.

There is no way the Vatican would burn down a building just to remodel. They would spend a few million of their hard earned cash.

Our neighbors did this, but there was some charge involved if they wanted the fire dept. involved so they got a permit for a "recreational fire."

Are those fire hoses already stretched out in the first pic?

I'd sue the fire department. They probably could have saved your house and your cat if they hadn't been lounging.

Is that the house from Modern Warfare 2?
