As a woman engineer I have not had any special treatment.
My 1st job I was pregnant and still expected to perform all of my field work up until my due date. I was climbing on huge natural gas compressors and other equipment hooking up test equipment. I was breastfeeding after I had my baby and did it in a private room at my office and the manager told me, " you need to do that in your truck, you're making the guys uncomfortable"
My second job I was an absolute badass and all my male coworkers got larger bonuses and raises than me, and my manager treated them like a bunch of babies while piling the pressure on me.
And, this latest job they told me my shirts were too tight and offensive.
Yeah, I would love some more special woman treatment.
