will be interesting to see if anyone is as big a dork as I am. Only a few of these were actually textbooks I used in school, the bulk of them I purchased because I wanted to read them.

Cit,

I've never really been fascinated by Fermat's last theorem or the story of it. Dunno why but it's never moved my needle. So definitely not a FLT dork. Elliptic curves play a pretty big role in cryptography, it still makes use of the discrete log problem but with much smaller keysizes for the same amount of security compared to RSA and the like. They are also pretty cool and involved in a lot of different areas of math (like fermats last theorem obviously).

Will post some pics once I get the library unpacked. Living in the room that will house it right now, as the contractors are working in the master suite.

Must say I'm shocked to see all this bookless space on y'all's shelves. I can't imagine having room for Scotch on by bookshelves.

You also have a library, so yeah, the scotch should be in the downstairs wine cellar. You know, the one past the master suite and around the corner from the basketball court.

What kind of barbarian puts the master suite on the same floor as the basketball court?

Lol poors.

A shelf doesn’t became a bookshelf until you place a book upon it.

You bring up a valid point. The master suite belongs in the East Wing, right down the hall from the steam room across from the wine cellar.

I was actually bummed when I moved into this place. Had to pare down my bookshelf quite a bit, as there wasn't any room for it. Instead, I've got these dumb glass shelves on either side of the fireplace. Not pictured is the giant box of comics in my closet.

I'd like to know which books people removed before they took the pic or if nothing was removed which ones they are slightly embarrassed about?

Haven't read a book in ~10 years. There's precisely 0 books in my condo.

Not something to be proud of imho.

I'll take a pic later, but maybe I missed something. What's the point of the thread, to discuss what's on the shelves? If so, cool idea.

Mine is the paperback, I think the hardcover is in three volumes. I was going to get the hardcover myself, but after purchasing it for my brother I really wasn't fond of the binding/glue (seemed cheap). It does look like the newer runs have sewn binding now.

So far I have determined that I own one book that's on Tuma's shelf.

I currently have about four books that aren't boxed up. Need to get around to organizing some things.

Here's one bookcase. I thinned out a lot when we moved. Haven't got around to organizing yet. A lot are two deep so you can't see them. Almost all of the "books" I buy these days are digital.

Do documentaries zap your enjoyment of films?
