It's a bit convoluted, but the commonly accepted figure is between 2%-8%, though this Slate article suggests the figures might be low.

not saying one of them might not be, I just dont see a clear incentive in this case to jump on the bandwagon. I guess some people are just attention whores tho, so getting an interview might be all that is needed for someone who ****ed cosby in the past to just be like "yeah, he raped me too"

I wasn't saying the cases are similar, only that a group of people lying is not unheard of.

Originally I was in the not sure camp, not like Janice Dickinson has any credibility. But now we're at, what, 20 accusers? If there's that much smoke, there's gotta be fire.

People also need to realize you can't equate someones tv persona to their real-life persona. Look at Sherman Helmsley who played George Jefferson, a loud-mouthed narcissistic jackass on tv, but in real-life is quiet, shy and timid.

Or Bob Saget who played the dad on Full House and seemed like a really nice guy. But in real life he is a foul-mouthed dick who isn't funny so he tries to go for shock-value with all the cussing to make up for it.

Complete opposites of their tv personalities. No reason the same can't apply to Cosby. I'm in the most likely guilty camp on this one.

And if someone argues "why did they take so long to come forward", that's pretty easy:

1. It's hard for any woman to ever admit she was raped, there's feelings of shame, guilt, victim blaming, etc to contend with

2. You're talking about accusing Bill Cosby, beloved tv dad, who the **** is going to believe you???

I dont think the kids were lying. Memory is a fragile thing. The kids likely believed what they were saying.

This is such a different situation that it really isnt relevant.

My first thought, exactly, when her name entered into this. Bandwagon Now Loading, Track Five. But then Howard Stern played a tape last week from his show in 2006 of Dickinson mentioning her Cosby experience, at a time where there was no bandwagon to be seen. I think that counts for something.

Yeah, I listened in the 90's (and remember my parents listening before that). His Wiki page says politics entered the realm of his show after 9/11, and that every show ended with "God Bless America". His website now is a bunch of dead links, but the home page is literally wrapped in the American flag.

Dude had a HUGE influence on my life, tho. Whenever I'm facing a big decision, or asked for my advice on one, my first thought is almost always, "What would Bruce do/say?" I've even bought a few of his books.

I similarly discounted Dickinson because of her reputation but I looked up that Stern clip from 2006 and it's certainly interesting in today's context.
