Either way, we have to be thankful for that cover shot. Holy moly. I remember when I was 9, staring at it in my mom's car (on the 8-track tape) and feeling all sorts of ...things.

Dom, I'm surprised to see you mention Fleetwood Mac, I considered nominating them but decided they rock too hard to be considered yacht rock. What would you say is their yachtiest song?

EDIT: I misinterpreted your post and now I see you think (as I do) they're mostly outside the genre. Do you think they have any yacht rock, though? I can't think of any.

Spotify has a "John Cole Playlist" by citizenx001 that has some of the worst songs of all time on it. It was even opened for nominations by the creator who is very picky about what can be included. But it does include some Yacht Rock gems. I think one woman, thinking of me, nominated "Sexy Eyes" for inclusion. It made the cut. 🤣

Yes, Sexy Eyes sucks. That's why it's on the list. Oooh, do I hate America, and it can't be Yacht Rock. I saw them play at URI in 1971 for fifty cents admission. It wasn't worth it.

I'd say Just the Two of Us makes the cut.

And while I'm Not In Love by 10cc is Yacht Rock, the cover versions by Diana Krall or Camera Obscura (great one) are not.
