Assuming what we're after here, given Dom's list, is a certain level of sophistication presumably held by a white man of a certain age, the songs he remembers and thinks are appropriate for his yacht. In no particular order:
Car on a hill
Ah, Joni. The L.A. sound at its smoothest.
Wooden ships
This kind of guy likes songs about sailing. But Christopher Cross sucks.
You're no good
A little bit dirty, for swaying on the poop deck.
Steppin' Out
While the imagery is New York, reminiscent of when the money first started tumbling in for our captain.
All fabulous Yacht artists, smooth as a freshly oiled teak deck. Some of you are missing the fairly obvious 'tongue in cheek' nature of these almost smooth jazz artists. There needs to be a certain sarcastic nature and Chopin and Crosby, Stills just completely miss on that level...
Toto IV is just ridiculously good on land or water. Although, you do need warm weather to enjoy it. Steely Dan had some great “summer bbq music” too. “Bodhisattva” comes to mind as a less remembered gem.

Yeah, this.
Yacht Rock needs to have a non-hippy sound to it. It is crisp, clean, and sparking...and it is NOT just more soft rock.
Dom, you clearly have an ear for true yacht rock, which makes it very odd that you did not include the song that is truly the essence of yacht rock. I am a sailor; I sail. Therefore this is simple fact:
Thread also deserves a link to Hollywood Steve, who you might find lounging in his music room, with the definitive history of yacht rock:
