not being on the menu at subway is a pretty legit edge in the "average" game

but i think it's more reasonable to interpret it as which would be better if both were on the menu at the same average restaurant, ignoring the fast food places

Hotdogs should only be mentioned in the negative in this thread. Every couple of years I decide I feel like one and am always disappointed. Only exception being 5am outside a nightclub, from a food truck. Realistically those days are behind me though and if there was a choice between doner kebab and hotdogs it would be kebabs without a doubt.

Here in USA no. 1 we have a brand called Hebrew National which are beef franks declared kosher by a rabbi (by the batch I assume). Any good 4th of July party has mountains of these.

I pretty much thought that in the US you would be able to find a good hotdog. I once thought I had hit the jackpot and then realised it was a kransky.

my top 8 ranking (in no particular order) based on the sandwich lists previously posted:

Combo pork banh mi
Reuben
Fried shrimp po-boy
Chicken parm
Pulled pork
Cheesesteak
Cuban
Sausage & peppers (with marinara)

but i am shocked...SHOCKED...that i'm the first one to mention mexican tortas of any kind.

pick any type and i'll substitute it into my top 8 list, most likely swapping out sausage & peppers or pulled pork

****ing love bagel with lox. by far the best bagel sandwich.

Everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, onion and capers is mega ultra elite. Like 95%+ of restaurants **** it up by making an actual sandwich, which is impossible to eat. The lox slides out the back with the first bite. Open face, with just a thin layer of cream cheese, can't be beat.

Even if bagels were bread, a bagel with lox is best eaten open faced and is therefore not a sandwich

There is never a good reason to ever eat a torta, was my point.

You must live somewhere weird cuz I've ordered it at probably 15 different restaurants in various parts of north america and it has never been served as a sandwich

His taxonomy includes various breads, breakfast sandwiches, and Jewish deli-meat.

A stunning ruling, imo. Coulda been a Cinderella story.

I'm sure there is a bakery menu somewhere that lists breads and bagels separately to justify the ruling.

Pastor torta where the pastor is actually spit-roasted is mega elite, but a very rare find.

No to all these and yes no to Wookie's ridiculous claim that a burger is a sandwich or even a type of sandwich.
