Am I a horrible person for thinking the Avengers was just pretty good, like Iron Man 1 quality

I just saw it again and the Hulk beatdown and the after-credit scenes were my favorite parts. I don't know much about any of the characters outside of their movies

I thought the Avengers was one of the worst of this series of movies. Thor the most underrated, that movie was fun. I liked both of the Captain America movies. Iron Man I the actual best of them all I thought.

I think it holds up pretty badly. The first half is fun with some good interaction and comedy. The second half drags for me. The fight scene at the end (versus aliens and worms that no one cares about) lasts an eternity and isn't very interesting.

this is probably just the fact that i've seen avengers 20 times talking, but yea if I had to rank Avengers and phase 2 movies, it would probably be Cap 2 > IM3 > Thor 2 > Avengers, but only because i've watched it so much it's become dull. Still rank Avengers 8/10 on its worst day.

I'm totally expecting Ultron to blow all its preceding movies out of the water

and I dunno why everyone rags on that big avengers battle scene - sure it literally serves no purpose but the whole point of it imo was to give the sequence that kind of comic-booky kind of feel, flipping through pages, seeing heroes fight it out individually and as part of a team - I would love to see something like that against the ultronbots

I loved Honor Blackman in phase I. That said, the low production values make it hard to watch so I vote for phase II.
