While you might dislike the chinstrap, and that's a fine and valid opinion, it's a way different thing from wearing a mustache that hasn't been in style for hetrosexuals since when... the 50s at best but maybe not then 'cause I mean who the **** knows, but it was a while ago?

The problem with your **** is that all it really says is "LOOK AT MY ****ING MUSTACHE" and that's just not a vibe I would want to put out there. If you really truly enjoy how you look, and aren't doing it for that reason- I guess that's cool. However, realize that you're inviting that assumption and will be judged accordingly.

Regardless of your opinion of the chinstrap- if you spend some time outside today in an American city, you'll probably see a few of them. Save for previously noted neighborhood, that's probably not the same for Landon's stache.

I'm not trying to defend my choice of facial hair. I wore it like that because I liked the way it made me look relative to the other options. I can't tolerate the way a mustache feels, and I felt like the definition the beard added to my face made it look a lot less fat and double chinned. (and now that I've lost another 20 lbs, I don't really think I need it, so I shaved it) I also know that because it's very much part of the standard douchebro accessory kit, some people were going to make that assumption, and that didn't really bother me.

Landon faces the same choice, and the biggest different is that there's a bit of assumed attention whoring with his 'stache that doesn't really exist with a chinstrap.

Most mustaches that I see seem to be saying 'I don't want to get laid.' OTOH, I frequent CAZ where there are actual yokels w/ facial hair that says 'This will get me laid bec I live in a trailer park.'
