I invented a drink tonight. As the one who turned me on to Averna, I'll dedicate it to you. I call it the Aeneid. It's 2 parts Metaxa, 2 parts Averna, and 1 part lemon juice, shaken, strained into a cocktail glass, and garnished with a twist of lemon. It's not the most visually appealing, but it's a tasty combination of flavors.

Basically just an awesome pic. Probably doesn't need a spoiler tag, but you know, whatever.

They were doing a tasting at whole foods of stuff including the hibiscus liqueur by the same company and it was really good, but euro saw the jasmine and was intrigued and we were assured it was also tasty. Opened it right away when we got home. Smells just like strong jasmine tea, but is sweet and delicious and not overpoweringly jasmine-flavored. Brewing up some ice tea right now that we usually blend with jasmine tea. We will be combining that with the jasmine liqueur and some soda. Very excited!

You can have it as a shot with or without ice and it is like angels are dancing on your tongue

At what point is it appropriate to kick somebody's dog? I go to the dog park 5 nights/wk, my dog

is super friendly and socialized, a couple of women I've never seen before show up w/ a Pomeranian w/ a poodle cut on the body and a lion mane for the head, the Pom proceeds harass my dog who, since he's a terrier will defend himself so he fights a bit w/ the Pom, then the Pom comes over to me and starts snapping at my pants, his owners do nothing except yell at the dog to stop which he doesn't.

FWIW, the culture in the dog park is laid back and relaxing. This sort of behavior is frowned upon, ppl have been barred for bringing aggressive dogs.

If this keeps up I can report them to the guy who runs the non-profit that manages the park but that's a hassle.

So what's my play? Tell them off? See what happens next time? Take a pic of Pom and report them?

In other news: I get super tilted when my stuff doesn't work properly. It's my own fault for playing on Cake in the first place w/ their buggy software but now my TV remote is ****ing up and I'd have to get a new HD box (more money) to replace it. So I took an extra .5 Xanax but that's unsustainable.

Although unusual (I didn't recognize the breed, thought it something exotic) it actually looked pretty cute. Except it was growling and straining at it's leash from the moment they walked in which is when I suspected there might be a problem.

Thanks! He's an UNBELIEVABLE babe magnet, it's truly incredible. When I bring him someplace like Starbucks there is barely a woman who can get past him w/o petting him. He loves it, lucky dog.

Yeah, I know, but I don't play NL and I'm winning. But you're right, I probably should do what the ppl in that thread say, change my password and sit it out until the issue is fixed.

Plus there's the bugginess issue. I know it's Beta and they're working on it and all but it freezes up, brings me back to tables I've 'left' that I have to leave again, etc.

If you post more pics of your dog it will offset the negatives of playing on cake.

Howard, after the dog bites my pantlegs and the owner does nothing, I tell them 'Listen dogowner, if you can't control your dog and it bites me again I'm going to kick it's ****ing teeth in and it will be your fault because yelling at your dog to stop is not satisfactory dog mastering imo.'


And I would say "I. M. O." on the end there, so they'd know I was from the internet.



And yes, that is one regal looking mofo.

No warning necessary to kick an aggressive dog at a dog park. If they didn't socialize it properly then **** them.
