I'm 30 and have never had a two day hangover despite drinking all the time. Infact I rarely have a bad one day hangover. Ibuprofen & water & snack before bed, iuprofen & water & grease for breakfast in the morning works for me.

Alobar and I has a discussion in the LC thread a long time ago about the best things to eat/drink before you yack from drunkenness. I think kit kits and orange juice were among the suggestions.

I used to drink a ton, and I don't think I ever had a hangover that lasted beyond like 2pm the next day. Gatorade and aspirin are your friends.

usually i'll feel like crap when i wake up, chug a gatorade, take 800mg advil, go back to bed, wake up and feel just fine, but that wasn't the case this weekend

i think my problem was that this was the first time i had more than a couple beers with a meal or something since the world cup

it depends on what one defines as hangover. i've never had a 2nd day where i have severe headaches or can't think straight, but i have had 2nd days where i still feel groggy and out of sorts.

lulz at the guy who's saying aspirin and water and a snack before bed - reminds me of the louis ck bit about people with temperate eating habits - "this is all the nutrition that i require"

this is so true. in my 20s i rarely ever got hangovers. it would take a lot to make me miserable the next day.

then in my 30s, i went through a stretch of 2 years or so of maybe a beer or two a week. went to a tiki party, drank my weight in rum drinks, and had the worst hangover in years.

took me at least 2 days to recover.

/edit Nerd story:

In high school I took some computer class, I don't remember exactly what we were supposed to learn, probably typing or something. Being a nerd the actual content was pretty useless to me. I spent most of the quarter completely re-writing the quick basic version of snake to make it easier/harder/add new levels/change colors/etc. This is of course after getting sick of beating the original version. That was my first taste of programming.

Snake aka centipede was a big problem for a year or so in middle school. Everyone had it on their calculators so there was no good way to really police it since they couldn't just confiscate people's calculators since they were needed for actual school work. Such an addicting game.
