Why does it have to add it up to 4? Why not 7 or 8?

And why choose that name? Is it because poker is as simple as 2+2 = 4? Because let me tell you something America, it's NOT!

And what's the deal with suited connectors? You make a flush and can't even get max value with it because it's not the nut flush. That really grinds my gears when I can't get max value!

sometimes we run out of shelf room above the drawers and have no other fridge option but to store leftovers in the crisper,
making space often results in the eviction of thin plastic bags in which half a napa cabbage head has been slowly committing acts of kimchi ever since baja fish taco night three tuesdays ago

next time will likely be the limes

A few months ago I had a very vivid dream where I was on a plane that was just falling from the sky while still oriented normally and I was just sitting there waiting for the eventual impact. Legit terrifying dream.

Oofa watching that plane in Brazil falling out of the sky today. Exactly what my dream was portraying.

I've had 3 different ultra-vivid plane crash dreams in my lifetime(and am aware what they signify irl), but that one was by far the most terrifying.

My falling dreams are always in an elevator, which is great because I just time my leap into the air for when it impacts the ground and it turns out fine.

My falling dreams are I'm a kid in the back seat of the family car, and my father decides to gun it to try to jump an incomplete flyover ramp at a freeway interchange. Very weird and very specific.

Speaking of dreams, does anyone else force themselves awake from a bad dream?

I don't have them very much, but there's been a few times where I can remember thinking, "this isn't real, wake out of it," and I snap to.

ETA: For "normal" dreams, I very seldom am engaged in an activity that I haven't done IRL, so, for instance, waking from a dream where I was shredding on an electric guitar was oddly satisfying.

Nightmares, OTOH, all bets are off and I've been having frequent home invasion ones for whatever reason.
