Went to buy some steaks at the grocery store across the street that I never shop at. They had ribeye selects for $5.99/lb with there shoppers club card, regular price was marked as $14.99/lb. This place never charges $14.99/lb for ribeye select. Needing a shoppers club card is a hustle.
Question for the group thread, has anyone when prompted for a membership number at these places used 867-5309? It works every time.
It does stand to reason that a lot of people inclined to give fake numbers would use that.
Kroger and its stores are the only ones I actually know of to require the membership in order to give the discount price. I think most others just list a price as if it's an exclusive and then that's how it scans in for everyone.

Re: getting the discounts at groceries. The neighbor kid works at the local version of Kroger. I've been told he'll swipe his own card for people who don't have one; they get the discount, he gets more points to save on gas.
I was at a CVS buying what I thought was a $20 bottle of booze it rings up at $38 I say I'll put it back cashier swipes her card and it is $20. I don't need Obama blatantly tracking all my purchases at store. Obv credit card give that **** away without hesitation, but at least they are more discreet.
