I’ve been staying with my brother and helping him out this week, just released from the hospital yesterday. He contracted Guillain-Barré syndrome after a random viral infection.

Apparently nothing he could have done, just one of those things that can happen at any time. Stay sharp my bros, it’s tough out here for us humans.

I did a search and it wasn't really clear whether or not the rum thread had devolved into a general cocktail thread, but I have really come around on the Negroni, although I still prefer bourbon neat and in cocktails. I don't care for straight gin, but Negronis and G&T's are usually quite good.

Not sure if it's a descent into alcoholism or what, but the last couple of Vegas trips have featured very little beer and lots of cocktails. Maybe just getting old?
