Anyway, it's a jumpoff idea. One of you ****ers think of something better if you're gonna give me that face.

Trying to figure out a band that played in Atlanta a long time ago. I believe it was at the 99x Big Day Out Festival in 1995. It was one of the last shows Blind Melon played before Shannon passed away. Unfortunately, I cannot find any information regarding the list of bands that played that festival. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was just about to bump as well. Anyone in ATL going to be at the bonnaroo festival this year? I will be traveling to ATL and staying a night before traveling to Tenn for the festival.

Looking to party on the 8th. Haven't partied there in over a year and really excited about this trip back.

Anyone here interested in micro-games up in Cumming, GA? I try to schedule a game each month but my regulars are getting eager for new blood. Used to play limit, but lately played NL, just a $10 buy-in.

Flying in with a friend as well. Haven't been in ATL in over a year. Any suggestions on where to take him on a Tuesday Night? Midtown? Buckhead?

Moe's & Joe's in the Highlands is pretty hopping on Tuesdays. Porter Beer Bar in Little 5 and Brick Store in Decatur also rock. Buckhead has changed a lot..it's pretty overrun with frat southern KA/SAE/Sigma Chi types. I never go anymore. Ri Ra in midtown is like a carbon copy of Fado in Buckhead - both are pretty good for meeting chicks, but I don't know about on a Tuesday.

Yah, Tues sucks most every where. Not an expert on Midtown, but it's mostly club/lounge type of scene which I'd guess isn't good on Tues. Moes and Joes can be good, but also closes when they are dead during the week so it can be a gamble. Atkins Park in Atkins Park/VaHi stays open until last call every night, but is usually full of servers after 1. Buckhead is so spread out that it's usually not worth it to cab it to 8 different bars during the week until you find a decent one. MJQ in Poncey Highland is good almost every night. Pink Pony (north and south) is good every night. It all depends on what kind of night and scene you want - if you're fratty/douchey you probably want to stick to Bhead. Hard to pick up girls in Atlanta on Tues so you'll have to go after the barfly/server/cougar crowd. If you just want to catch up over beers VaHi is probably best (also a decent place to pick up during the week although pickings can be slim). If you want a hipster scene East Atlanta has a few bars that are good most nights.

I was at this show too, it was actually my first concert ever! Did you figure out the band you were looking for?

I definately remember Better than Ezra and Silverchair being there, and maybe Belly and Tripping Daisy (not very confident about these 2).

I don't really get out much, but I've heard that Loca Luna in East ATL could get decent traffic on a random Tuesday night.

Thanks Fast Food Knight and SoulPower. Just looking to relax and figured there wouldn't be much going on. Don't like the frat scene much at all. Got enough of that in Athens, although, I don't mind it if there are girls running around.

I know a chick plugged into the club scene (she's a promoter for ATL clubs) and I've sent her an ask about what's the best place for Tuesdays.

I know she hangs out at VIA on Wednesdays, and Gold Room on Thursdays, but don't know where she goes on Tuesdays.

Today some of the Atlanta folk (Azizal, 'Chair, myself) are heading down to L5P for the Halloween parade. You all should join us! 3pm. PM if interested.

I will be back for homecoming saturday.

Lived in Atlanta for 5 months to start this year, was an intern with the Hawks/Thrashers, loved it. Coming back this upcoming weekend and going to the Jay-Z/Kanye show on Saturday, should be awesome.

Could possibly see myself going to Georgia State for grad school down the road but that wouldn't be until next September at the earliest.
