Avicka's going to some place that's like a $60 cover, but open bar inside. Apparently that's good because places like East Andrews are charging a $50 cover, and then charging for drinks. Soooo, basically, pm her because I have no idea what it is.

My friends and I have done the Downtown Countdown for the past few years. All you can drink/eat (actually good food and plenty of bars) spread over multiple ballrooms. It's at the Hyatt this year. Ticket prices get higher as the event gets closer and are probably around $150 at this point. All things considered though it's still a good deal and a really fun time. Everywhere around here gets really expensive on new years eve. I recommend getting a hotel room as well to keep things simple transportation wise.

I'm going a bar in midtown called the Spotted Dog. It's up to $70 now cash at the door for open bar (for you) and DJ (for your gf).

Its an open party, should be pretty awesome.

Broke my lease a couple weeks ago, I'm headed back to LA / Orange County. Official move-out-by is April 30, but Georgia divisional qualifiers for US Fencing Nationals are like the 5th/6th and I doubt I'll be staying much longer after that.

Point is, I think it'd be nice to see some / all / Peachy of you again before I take off, likely never to return aside from, of course, the FFK-'Chair fusion. Going to New Orleans next weekend; everything other than that is negotiable / free. Shall we gogogo w/ a meetup?

Also, would anybody be interested in attending the 52 seconds of Hawks vs. Heat? I think that whole thing's pretty intriguing.

Mmm. Depends on how you want to do this. If this thing kicks off early evening, I'd prefer Friday. Late evening, Saturday. (I have a tournament in Columbia on Saturday and will be d10ing it there and/or back as necessity dictates.)

What time are you guys planning to get things underway? How itchy are the cops from here to Columbia; what speed can I reasonably expect to average? My event doesn't even theoretically start until 3:30, which means it'll probably be a stretch to get back before eleven.
