Just got this from Stubhub, this makes no sense

You listed an item that wasn't a ticket. Because it's not a valid ticket for the event, this sale was cancelled.

This makes no sense at all. Yesterday I stumbled across a show with nothing on Stubhub and a modest sales history. So I buy 2 tickets, list them on Stubhub, they sell within 20 minutes, go and buy 4 more.

They are NOT Ticketmaster tickets and have to email to Stubhub to give to buyer as they won't upload. Get the confirmation the buyer got the tickets.

Later on I see the same 2 tickets listed at more than double what I sold them for as well as more of the released section.

Wonder if this idiot realized they released more tickets and found some way to weasel out of the sale?

Stubhub has become so consistently awful that I don't want to use them at all anymore. Vivid is now accounting for about 40% of sales and I only started using them last month but Stubhub is still almost as synonymous with concert tickets as Ticketmaster is.

Maybe it's time to get a new CC, mailing address and TM account?
When you bought your tickets the only delivery option would have been Credit Card Entry.

Hard to see how that's Ticketmaster's fault you didn't read it.

Are you really just on the thread to talk **** to other people?

Go troll somewhere else.

You add no value to this page and no one here wants to hear your worthless two cents.

Did you call them to ask what they were talking about? Thats a new one for me. I would be curious as to what they tell you.

I would recommend calling the VIP Customer Service number, otherwise you will get the call center run around bs that stubhub is infamous for. VIP number you are far more likely to get someone who speaks English as a first language.

They may tell you they can't help you if you are not a power seller, but call back and talk to someone else and hopefully you will get an answer from someone.

I stand by my point.

Credit Card Entry would have been clearly displayed on the delivery page before purchase.

Yeah I'm not sure what StraightHustle is talking about. Credit Card entry would have been clearly marked first under "details" near the section/row/seat numbers, and again when you actively selected a delivery method that literally said "credit card seats".

I'll post this in SE as well, but for OOTers: I'm looking at going to Wrigley for a Cards/Cubs game in August or so. I've never been to Wrigley. Right now it's sold out ldo, and even bleacher seats are going for $100+ on stubhub. Will tickets generally drop over the course of the year, stay steady, or even go up?

Much of that will depend on how the cubs are playing. If they are in a fight with the Cardinals for the division at that time the tickets will defiantly go up. If not they might drop a little.

Friday will be your most affordable option, then Sunday with Saturday the most expensive.

The face value of Bleachers vs. Cardinals is $100+ each ($84 + $15.26 in fees + Delivery/Order Fee), so don't expect them to drop too much lower than that. Upper Reserved are the most affordable option at Wrigley, but even those are $45+ and you will more than likely be sitting behind a pole.

You might get lucky and the cubs curse will kick in and they will be 25 games out of first. Then you might catch a deal.

Let me explain this slowly.

I got some new interface that TM was experimenting with that just started popping up in the last few weeks.

I found a way to bring it up every time to give you an idea.

http://www1.ticketmaster.com/event/3...b=efeat1990ism

Please note, this is not the show as it has already passed.

I am ticket surfing while working my regular job so sometimes I stumble when trying to multi-task but I am a pretty savvy buyer and always catch it when there is will call only or credit card entry. This time I never saw it, then went thru the check out process again and it was hidden under a dropdown menu.

Maybe that's why I haven't seen that interface in a few weeks when clicking through, they still have some bugs to work out. Oh well I am out $200 because of it.

But after I complained to TM Canada, the resale or transfer tab no longer works for ANY EVENT in any country. Once I realized I wouldn't be selling the tickets I was just going to give these tickets away to someone I know in the area and that's when I found out it wasn't working.

The transfer feature was tested for those tickets and working at some point prior.

Verdict: Someone at TM messed with my account so I can't resell or transfer any tickets. Maybe I will call them, but I am afraid they might mess with existing tickets that have already been sold or just make another account.

Thanks! Apparently I neglected to list them as Side View, which should have been stated when the sale was cancelled. My mistake but I was multi-tasking via the day job at the time. Sold those 2 and the other 4 almost immediately.

Seems TM has removed the Not Many Left or No Tickets Right Now indicators off their page, I haven't seen them since last week.

Hi there,

I’m UK based and have been selling tickets over the past 17 months and in that time I have earned enough to give up my day job. This forum has been a great help and I’m now looking for ideas as to how I can grow this further as a business.

If there are any other UK Users out there who would like to benefit from some knowledge sharing then please PM me……………….

Fortunately the review completed by the morning so I didn't have another tough decision. Hopefully that's the end of it.
Update: Not the end of it. Just got a notice that this payment from 3 months ago is being charged back as unauthorized. A quick reading through the seller protection policy indicates I'm liable unless I can provide proof of shipment to the paypal user's verified address, which I can't because I emailed the tickets. I'm screwed here, right?

Yes but paypal makes it clear they don't offer any seller protection for electronic goods. And by "makes it clear" I mean it's spelled out clearly enough if you want to read through their terms of service. I'm liable for chargeback disputes that paypal can't win unless I provide proof of mailing to the buyer's physical address, which I can't do.

That's why when I sell electronic goods on eBay that in addition to sending them electronically I also always spend the extra $2.60 and send a printed copy via USPS With Delivery Confirmation, it's money well spent.

Agreed. Anything I email deliver on ebay I still send a back up copy with tracking just in case.

If you don't have a tracking number you screwed

I'm not familiar with the new site design but it seems odd that delivery would not clearly have been displayed before you bought them. On the current site even if there is only one choice you still have to manually choose it.

Not sure what TM would have to gain by blocking your ability to resell tickets when they make money off you reselling tickets.

My kids enjoy watching Pats games, and are plenty content to do that at home. But my wife thinks - and I agree - it would be nice for us to see a game as a family in person, and to "do it right", which means getting top quality seats (preferably indoors, or perhaps there's a seating local that is indoors with a window or door that can open, ala a Fenway Park box), a parking pass, etc. She's also concerned with trying to distance ourselves from "the rowdiest element" as she calls it. And I'm fine with that - happy wife, happy life.

What's my best play to secure a package like this? While of course I'd prefer to not pay more than I need, I just want the process to be easy and to not have to worry about getting taken for a ride. When would I want to move ahead with this to ensure I don't lose out or pay more than necessary? All things being equal, I'd prefer to see the game in the fall, rather than the dead of winter.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Bumping now that the 2016 schedules have been released. The game that would probably make the most sense for my family is vs. Buffalo on Sunday October 4th at 1pm, since it checks the box that my kids will wanted check (i.e., the Pats should win) and that I'd want checked (not a game likely to have huge demand as compared to the other home contests).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, whether ITT or via PM.

It was there but it I had to click a dropdown menu to see that E tickets meant credit card or phone only.

I really have no idea what they would have to gain by screwing up my account. Then again Ticketmaster is one of the few companies that can deliberately **** over their customers without any repurcussion. And I feel messing up my account is a real dick move considering I've paid tens of thousands of dollars in fees the past 18 months. Possibly enough to pay the salary of whoever made that move.

Every once in awhile I would make a mistake because I am simultaneously working at my job and looking for, buying and listing tickets but this one is on them. Not that I can do anything about it. But a few weeks ago I bought tix from a non-TM vendor. When the tickets never showed up after a reasonable time I called them. "Oh we don't mail out of state." After a bit of arguing and insisting they need to mail me the tickets, I went thru the site slowly and sure enough there was no disclosure whatsoever that I wouldn't be getting tickets. This time I called my bank to reverse the charge. We will see if they fight it or not but if the tickets are there at the box office they should just resell them.

The job is coming to an end soon though. But suddenly I am not finding much to buy. I rarely pull good seats for big shows and everything is priced so much higher than last year. However I would admit I really have no idea what I am doing, I would just bumble through, make money and lose money but always come out way ahead. Ahead enough that I am not particularly worried about being unemployed (I crashed and burned out of community college and worked the same dead end job for 20 years basically because they would never fire me. The last 7 years I was working alone and unsupervised which allowed the ticket thing to flourish the last 2 years).

Stubhub completely ****ed up their site. Again. A new seller interface that's supposed to be faster. Except it's not accurately reading the tickets and not giving me an option to change the seating information. Maybe someone should remind whoever is running the company that they can also easily go the way of AOL and MySpace if they make it harder for buyers to navigate the site and sellers to list tickets.

I haven't tried to change anything but listing my NFL tickets on Thursday was much easier than it has been in the past. I still hate them for taking 30+% of my sales but at least it didn't take an hour to list a seasons worth of tickets.
