Do you feel like you're dating one of them or all 5 of them? If you get angry at one, does that carry over to the others? Like when Matilda tried to kill you and then she went back to being normal, how did you feel towards her afterwards? Is it like some trauma that you both just suffered that was out of your hands or something she just did for you or what?

How long has another personality exclusively stayed present?

What would you do if Michelle never came back?

Are you really that busted and boring that you have to deal with this?

Do you think this could all be an act just to be able to get away with acting up/being a bitch?

I mean most woman are ****ing crazy,psyco, at times and have slight forms of MPD but most don't create different names for different personalities. That is why I ask do you think she just realized that she could make up names (which are to far from her real name) and get away with her behavior.

This timeline is fascinating (how long does it take before you really know someone??).

Didn't catch it in your posts, but are you in therapy as well? Have you discussed why you are attracted to her, as she is now?

Can you give us your best guess at what the next personalty to arise will be like?

You are implying there are chicks with just one?

Is it possible there are other personalities hidden deep below the surface that will come out in time?

Do you think the stress of her being in a longterm relationship directly caused the personalities to appear? For instance, perhaps there are in-family secrets (even beyond the uncle) that she is subconsciously afraid will repeat between you two, so she tries to disconnect herself from herself so that she is not culpable of anything that might happen?

That seems like a rapid change after moving back to her parents. Do you think that is coincidence, something there sparking it, or reaction to changes?

I did a "ask me about going to a mental hospital" thread years ago, and I've been thinking of doing a follow up on bipolar now that it's been like 4 years.

mad props to you for loving someone with multiple personalities. Is your fiancee medicated? Does she have a driver's license? Does she work, if so, where? Is she diagnosed with any other mental illnesses?

spoon - When you answered the question about why you're with her you just said she was amazing and that she didn't start going quite as nuts until after you had see her for awhile...then went into more stories about how the different personalities act and interact, etc. That doesn't really answer the question of why you're still with her. You just said that the multiple personalities didn't change that. Really?

Also, it all started when you moved in together? So doesn't that lead you to the conclusion that the pressure of being together like that is basically making her a whack-job?

She has some personalities that try to kill herself or you...and you have to call 911. There are a lot of guys who would not stay with such a girl just on that alone much less the fact that she's just freaking weird and acting like an 8 year old part of the time, etc.

Is the whole multiple personality thing somehow a turn on for you at all? Do you think that at the heart of this you just enjoy the drama? Was she a dramatic chick at all before these other personalities came out?

Anyway, many of us can't figure out why anyone would want to date/marry such a person. This is like the ultimate high-maintenance girl. Not only is she a freaking weirdo who goes into 8-year-old girl mode interchanged with her other personalities but you also get the fun of trying to stop her from killing herself or you every once in awhile.

Why would you marry someone who you legitimately think might kill you? Since the moving in part seemed to perhaps trigger some of this stuff one wonders if actually getting married could perhaps even make it worse. Do you think that is a possibility too?

What triggers have you identified for different personalities?

Did they find any physical reasons for her blackouts, etc.?

What is the goal of therapy? Is there a plan to integrate the personalities?

My three questions for now:

1. When one of the alternate personalities comes out, have you developed strategies to snap her back into being normal Michelle? Or is that completely futile and you just have to ride it out?

2. Many posters have already asked about the sex. Does she by chance have an insatiable drive for lots and lots of kinky sex? In my limited experience, bat**** girls always seem to.

3. There's got to be some connection between her being molested when she was 10 and her "Little Michelle" personality, no?

Do you have any friends of your own or is your life basically consumed by dealing with your fiance? If no, did you before and you've detached from them, anything like that?

Any history of drug abuse in your or her past?
