It's definitely not for everyone and the situation you described would not be cool with me. However some people have open marriages where each partner might have 1 or more boyfriends/girlfriends that they date on a regular basis. That's not something we're interested in, as part of the fun is seeing each other from a different perspective while we're both enjoying our partners.

You really need to be comfortable and secure in your relationship and sexuality to be able to do it. For us it's really a social thing. We can have sex with a couple and then just hang out for drinks another time. It's not awkward at all. Although we have experienced drama.

I believe the risks of a woman giving a man an STD via BJ are very low, but they are present. You can get gonnorhea, chlaymdia, syphillis, or herpes. However, I believe the risks are much higher for the giver than the receiver - i'm sort of surprised a guy who fears STDs is not wearing a condom all the time. at the very least, you should wear one for the protection of the chick blowing you.

Condoms do offer some amount of protection against it, but at the end of the day you also need to trust your partners. As far as I know I don't have herpes, but apparently almost 1 in 5 people who have HSV-2 don't know they have it.

It's a miminal chance. I have researched this extensively and spoken to a doctor about this becaues I am paranoid. She can pass it on to you (oral herpes to genital herpes) if she has bleeding/open sores from a fever blister outbreak (bleeding could be micrisopic cuts in gums if say she just ate potato chips or crusty bread), or small chance she could harbor active Herpes virus in her saliva (so no open sores necessary).

Even with all this, it's still a very minimal chance to the dude. But the woman is at risk especially after the guy ejaculates (assume in her mouth).
