I'm SO pumped! I thought this guy was dead for sure, I just couldn't imagine how a guy could suddenly stop committing such horrific crimes after being so active for so long. Its going to be fascinating to find out what the hell he has been up to.

Info about the case here: The Original Night Stalker (he was also called the East Area Rapist, Golden State Killer).

There was a town hall meeting discussing the rapes and murders and some guy stood up and said he would never let anyone come into his house and rape and/or kill him and his wife. Months later he was attacked by the Night Stalker/East Area Rapists/Golden State Killer

He would call his rape victims after the fact and do all kinds of other creepy ****.

He was never caught. YES!

I honest don't know, its been mentioned on several shows I've watched but when I did some research online, I could never find info about who the guy was and what happened to him..it honestly made me wonder if it was even true.

Hopefully more info will come out now they've made an arrest. I'll look again to see if I can find out what actually happened

I spent a couple hours reading about this today. Apparently DNA samples collected at the crimes were 100% matches with the suspect. It seems he also admitted that EAR and ONS crimes were both his doing. Based on that info, what point are you trying to push, exactly?

why the harsh tone? I didn't know he admitted to it. what is EAR and ONS?

preki, if you don't know anything about the case, how can you give any meaningful opinion about innocence or guilt? was that just a kneejerk reaction to any perceived injustice? why don't you take a few minutes to research some information that's surfaced in the past 24 hours?

I understand Yim's excitement as it is big news. I also understand GnT's attitude as the press can make it really hard for a fair trial in some cases. False confessions are not all that uncommon.

Supposedly he has also confessed to being the Visalia Ransacker. So that's three separate crime sprees perpetrated by the same guy.
