About 30 years ago an ex was showing me one of her family's family albums. Yep, funeral pictures of a dearly departed relative in a coffin. Probably was the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning for more than one of us.

Remember Lobster Boy? We also hired a nice woman from Sri Lanka on the same day. But in order for her to work here we had to file paperwork on her behalf saying she'd work for us for the next 2 years, she performs a specialty that needs to be filled, blah, blah blah. So we get an immigration lawyer, jump through all these hoops for her. Then she says that instead of us sponsoring her, she can go back to sri lanka and hopefully get a green card and it will only take 1-2 weeks.

It's been over 3 weeks, she's still stuck in Sri Lanka and they want more documents than she brought, so as of last week, she was saying first week of May at the earliest for her return.

I got an email from her this morning. She wasn't hurt in the bombing and she's safe, but there's an island wide curfew in effect and she has no idea when she'll be able to leave her house, never mind the country. Ugh.

As for Lobster Boy, who used a doctor's note to get 9-5 hours with no lunch...

He's been working 9:30-5, takes a walk every day at lunchtime, and is always on his phone. Lots of complaints from project managers so I talked to him.

To think, after the admins here actually helped them get their new politics forum off the ground by letting them link to it in a 2+2 sticky, they then go ahead and start directly copy and pasting forums and topics directly from 2+2 into their new 'politics' forum.

That is straight up theft and they are straight up scumbags. Anyone who supports them now is also a complicit scumbag thief as well.

Jose you are so f'ed with that hire. He is going to kill you guys for years and then eventually sue you when it all ends.

However good he is a red lines will not be worth it in the end. It probably isn't even worth it already, and he has just begun to f you guys over. Removing that 3 month probationary period was a horrible decision.

Pretty disappointed in some of the names I see posting over there as well.

I don't really think mass content should be taken and as far as I've seen it hasn't been done - only talked about, but I don't think your take is right either. A lot of forums don't allow politics sections for very understandable reasons and I think this is good for 2p2 and the new site. I take Mat at his word that he's glad to have it gone and welcomes those people to continue posting on 2p2 about other stuff.

Yeah, that's the talk. It hasn't happened and I don't think anyone else has expressed interest. And I think jmakin's motivation is getting the discussions while it's possible before they are nuked. I wouldn't do that myself, though I think people have a legit claim to their own posts, but w/e, I sure as hell don't think I'm a scumbag because I post on a site where one person might do that.

I also don't think that it's cool to take old posts from the site. I really don't see that actually happening and if it ever comes up I will push against it.

As far as it being scummy talking about other topics, GTFOH. Like Mason invented small talk. You specifically, and the owners of the site even more importantly don't like the politards, we are moving on. If some of the people you DO like would rather talk with that group than this group about GOT and working out, then look inward.
